Quality

I’m not usually one to review. But I think this deserves it. I work in construction so I abuse tape measures pretty heavily whether elevated and dropping them of subjecting it to chemicals or just harsh environment conditions where it corrodes. I’ve normally been a fan of fat max as far as the quality of the blades. I’ve liked Milwaukee for its durability. This is the best of both worlds. I’d highly recommend for any construction worker

Tape split at approx.3 inches

I like the printing on this tape which is large and easy to read. The standout of approx. 12ft and magnetic end is also a great feature. I use this only for residential use and am not a contractor though build a bunch of stuff. My blade near the 3 inch mark like other reviews I read while attempting to find a replacement has a chunk out of the blade that makes it difficult to pull out and can cut your fingers when trying to work with it. I could not find a replacement blade and doubt one is available because when one could not be found I finally pulled the blade out to the end and found no clip that is usually located there. Its a solid tape measure and had great features but as beefy as it appears the blade is defective and appears to have flaw that cannot be replaced and can cause harm if you continue to use it!

Garbage

The media could not be loaded. This tape measure is terrible 20$ for 4 hours of use, better off with a stanley. I dont recommend this to anyone, waste off money!

Junk

Rough framer here. Bought this tape from a local hardware store not Amazon. Lasted me less than a week on the job. While my fat max has lasted over than a year. Blade started to split at roughly the 3” mark and even worse at roughly the 10” mark. Can’t use it. I hope it enjoyed its flight to the dumpster from the second story roof. Everything else about the tape seemed as one might expect.

Powerful spring!

Solid tape. Nice and wide, and measurements conveniently on top and bottom. I wasn’t expecting the spring to be so strong, and on the first retraction it flew back at me and bent the tape around the 1’ mark. Bummer, but there is a spot to press your finger and slow down the retraction. Do that!
