Excellent customer service!

I ordered this statue and placed it in my yard back in July, as it is marked "ok for outdoor use". By November, the paint/finish was peeling off in multiple places, even though the statue was not in direct sun and is elevated off the ground. I submitted a claim with Alpine and they responded quickly. Jamie Alforque in their customer service dept advised they would ship me a replacement statue at no cost to me (not even for shipping), and it arrived yesterday! Jamie advised I should just keep the original statue, no need to return it back. What awesome customer service! Needless to say, I will apply a clear polyurethane coat to the new statue before putting it in my yard; I'd recommend the same to anyone considering purchasing this statue and leaving it outdoors. It's so refreshing to deal with a company that takes care of its customers, so quickly and so completely. I'd definitely purchase from Alpine again based on my experience with this transaction.

Beautiful addition to our yard

While it is beautiful I am concerned about how well it will weather considering some reviews. I also wish they had put a drain hole in the book as it does hold water and might effect durability.

Not as described!!

This is nowhere near the measurements depicted on the photo description..smh. This statue is nowhere near 3.5 feet!! Ugh

Beautifully detailed, very large

This sculpture is absolutely beautiful! It is perfect in detail, and very large. I am giving it to my son and DIL for Christmas. They are a family of readers.

Sooo beautiful.. great quality

Sooo beautiful..great quality. I bought this to put on my brothers grave..he died suddenly in January, 2014..we planned to grow old together, even tho he was only 59, he loved to read even as a child and we were going to move to a farm and he said all he would wear was his bib overalls..This beautiful statue says it all..This is my brother reading his book with his bibs on..How precious..Exceptional quality. Ordered and was delivered in great shape, shipped quickly and packaged nicely. Thank you. You will not go wrong ordering this beautiful statue.

My Opinion on the boy reading a book.

Well, I would have preferred it if it were ceramic and clay colored. I always disliked the fact that IT WAS MADE IN CHINA! I would always pay more for things made in America. Having said those negative things, overall, I really liked the statue. I can't wait until spring and we decide where to put it. It is neat and very appropriate for someone who loves reading as much as I do. Sincerely, Gordon M. Williams
