If you have a big booty, don’t get them

I have thic thighs and a really large butt and these were not the shorts for me. There isn’t enough back fabric to give the look that is pictured. Jersey shorts under are super soft but rode up. The waist line fit really well but the fabric bunching gave me 5 camel toes. Would try a larger size if available but also no thx

Super duper stretchy!

Size reference: I am 5’6” and 125lbs. I normally wear size 4 or 27 jeans, and either small or medium stretchy bottoms. My legs are slender but I have very wide hips and some booty. I ordered the medium because that is what Amazon recommended “based on purchases by customers who wear your size.” I think the small would be a better fit. Material description: The undershorts are perforated and therefore breathable. They come down far enough to be clearly seen beneath the outer layer. The fabric feels like the wicking polyester blend found at the big sporting good stores in the moisture wicking section. They have lots of stretch but actually stay in place quite well. The outer layer is more of a windbreaker feel or like a thick chiffon. The tulip style side splits allow for free movement and airflow. The waistband is comfortable with wide elastic. I ordered the navy option and the color is true to the product photos. Recommendation: Yes, I recommend but order your usual size. I have two dozen pairs of workout shorts from all brands. In my opinion, the Amazon Essential shorts are just as good as the big store owned brands (BCG, Xersion, So, City Trends, etc.). The quality is not as good as name brands but for half the cost of those brands I am satisfied and would order again…but I would try a size small.

These are interesting

I found these shorts to be really interesting. They are nice for a more modest workout short vs a bike short alone. The fabric is nice and comfortable. The look is a little weird though. They don't quite look like a skirt and not quite like shorts. It's a weird combo. I have a V shaped body so these are kind of nice to even everything out. Overall, I found these to be true to size and pretty nice.

Wear a small, got a small, too big!

I was hoping for a cute dupe for one of my favorite pairs of Nike shorts, but no such luck. These fit like two parachutes on my legs. I consistently wear a small across athletic brands, and these were way too big. Even the spandex underneath felt a bit loose. Certainly not the worst, but these wouldn't be my pick.

Strange looking but comfortable for working out

These shorts are perfectly fine for working out at home. They are very comfortable and I like how the under layer feels secure when kicking and jumping in combat class. Now for the bad news. The way the outer layer looks is just so odd. It doesn’t lie flat and sort of flaps around. I feel like this is not a well thought-out design. It’s not flattering at all on me, so I won’t be wearing these to an in-person class or running in them outside.

Comfort of bike shorts with flowy short overlay

Good for exercising and errands! Comfortable shorts. 2 layered but lightweight - airy mesh biker short underlay and flowy airy active stretch woven top layer. Overlay sides are somewhat drapy which gives it a more feminine touch. Thick comfortable stretchy elastic band. True to size. Like that the short is tapered and doesn’t have any gaps especially when sitting. Only wish the under layer was slightly shorter or same length as the overlayer.
