Glad I bought this intake extension fits nicely on two my filter won't come off by itself

the quality of this tube is just like the ones supplied with my pump (Aqua Clear 50) the only down fall is I wish the tube was longer for a tall tank had to order an additional tube to reach to just above substrate where I wanted my filter intake at.

I'm a little confused. I ordered this and expected a tube open on each end that would allow the actual down-tube to extend lower into the tank. It does that however, it is really just a spare of what you already receive. I've no complaint, just puzzled.

Fits what I have but clogs easily.

I bought a new replacement filter for my aquarium. The tube wasn't long enough so I bought the extension. The only complaint I have since I have a heavily planted tank is that the tubes clog easily and I have to clean them every other day.

Worked by actual extension is only about 3 and 1/2" inches. Wish it was longer and that they could be coupled together for greater length but due to intake holes will not work.

Not bad @ all.

Dont get confused like I did. It looks exactly like original but isn't. It fits right over the original extension. Other than that, it gave my 10 gal the perfect length to get the lower bits of the Amphibian enclosure.

Just cut off the excess and it is an EXTENSION

The product is meant to replace the extension tube for the HOB filter. If you are careful, you can cut off the end to make an extension so your intake goes deeper into the tank. Just measure how much you need and cut off the excess. Works perfectly and now my pre-filter sponge and intake are only 2.5cm from the bottom (instead of 7cm from the bottom using the stock HOB filter tube(s)).
