Feel lux & keep my coffee warm, love them.

Makes you feel pretty fancy and they keep my coffee warmer for much much longer than any other mug I own. I’d say the same about all of our Bodum glasses.

Great product, let down by its packaging

I have had 2 of these glasses for some time now, as well as several other Bodum double-wall glasses. They are my favorite glasses because of their insulating properties which keep the drinks cooler longer and also prevent sweating on the exterior in high humidity. For me, they have been durable and useful. Unfortuntely, I did break one eventually - an event that can happen to anything made of glass. To get a replacement, and also to have extras, I ordered two 2-packs of these. Unfortunately, 1 of the 4 glasses arrived in totally shattered condition. The packaging was not too impressive - the 2-packs from Bodum had only slight cushioning inside, and the two 2-packs were shipped by the seller in a small cardboard box with no additional cushioning. Perhaps the glass was broken even before it reached the seller, or perhaps it broke enroute to me. I contemplated returning the box with the broken item, but Amazon said that they could not provide a replacement - only a refund - because this was from a partner and not Amazon itself. Not wanting to go through the hassle of packaging the thing up and taking it somewhere to be sent back to only get a few dollars of refund, I just kept it, thus getting 3 for the price of 4. The glasses are wonderful. The packaging and shipping are not. Just so you know.

Excellent cup

I love these glasses. I've read some reviews that said that they were fragile, but I have not had any problems yet and I have bumped them on things pretty hard. I haven't dropped one yet, but they have stood up to a beating thus far. I have used a combination of hand washing and dishwasher and I have not had a problem with the seal on the bottom melting either. They look great and retain heat pretty well, but I can't really attest too much to that as I haven't let them sit out all that long to test heat retention. If nothing else, they look great and I usually get a comment or two by people who haven't seen them before which is always nice.

Simply lovely

The glasses are beautiful to look at and a pleasure to hold. There is no problem with condensation, even in the humid southern heat. Complaints about their fragility are a bit confusing. I would never dream of dropping ice cubes directly into nice crystal, and I would not drop ice cubes directly into these glasses either; they are not Wal-Mart tumblers, and should not be treated as such. That said, mine regularly go through the normal cycle in the dishwasher with no problems. I purchased them (8 in all) several months ago, have not lost even one due to breakage, and take great pleasure in using them.

Bodum makes great glassware

The double wall keeps cold drinks coller and hot drinks hot longer. They look great, are confortable to hold and have been reasonable priced . . . at least up to now when the dramatic increase in their popularity has driven the prices up and made it difficult to find them in stock.

Functional, Stylish, but Handle with Care

The look and style of the glasses are very distinct and screams Bodum. I absolutely love the look leading me to buy two sets of these double walled glasses. 1. Packaging The set of glasses came protected in a thick layer of bubble wrap which is absolutely necessary since the walls of the glass are thin. None of the glasses were damaged in any way but they were a little dirty out-of-the-box. That's expected so be sure to give them a wash before using them. 2. Description The glass itself is very thin and light, making them feel fragile. Even though they feel fragile, I have not broken any of them after using them for months. I have stirred metal spoons in the glass and I have made soft clanks on the inner wall on several occasions with no damage in sight. It's unlikely the glass will break with gentle taps or stirs, but I recommend using stir sticks or plastic spoons to stir your liquids if you like to be rough with your glasses. When I store these glasses away, I stack them on top of each other just fine despite being slightly different in size from each other. 3. Usage These glasses are wonderful to use with hot or cold liquids. I pour hot water or coffee into the Bodum glass most of the time, and the glass never gets hot when holding it. There is a slight warmth that you can feel depending on how hot the liquid is, but it's never uncomfortable. In fact, because of how well insulated the liquid is, I can never really tell how hot it is before I take a sip. This is great for the hands but not so great for your lips/tongue. You do have to be careful when you drink your liquid because you will not be able to tell what the temperature really is until you sip/drink it. Beyond being functional, there's a certain amount of "wow" factor when you actually pour other types of liquids in the glass other than water. The liquid is suspended in the air like you're looking at some sort of optical illusion. It's great to look at and definitely draws the attention of other guests. Even more amazing is when you begin mixing liquids together in there. Mixing cream into coffee looks like clouds expanding in chaotic ways - it's really quite enjoyable. 4. Washing When you are washing them by hand, you have to be careful of the items in the sink as they can be damaged by other objects clanking into them. I usually put them in the dishwasher on a normal wash cycle and they come out perfectly clean and undamaged. There is a silicone closing at the bottom of the glass to allow air to move in and out of the insulating wall and I found that no water can get in (which is great!). 5. Conclusion If you want a nice looking set of glasses that performs the job of insulating your liquids extremely well, consider buying these Bodum glasses. They're simple, beautiful, and functional. Liquids seems to magically suspend in the air which gives it a nice optical flare. Just be sure to handle them with care because of its thin glass walls and they will last a lifetime.

ACHTUNG: Absoluter Schrott

Ich habe die Gläser als Geschenk zum Geburtstag bekommen. Habe mich anfangs wirklich sehr gefreut. Jetzt nach ca. einem Monat die Ernüchterung... Alle Gläser - bei 3 Packungen haben Mängel, 4 sind total stumpf geworden und bei drei ist das Ventil undicht (Wasser zwischen den Glaswänden). Konnte sie leider nicht zurückschicken, weil ich die ja geschenkt bekommen habe. Muss dringend vor diesem Mist warnen!!!

Keeps coffee hot

We loved these thermo glasses when we first were shown them. They keep coffee hot whilst the outer is cool to the touch. They are easy to hold. They will also be useful in the summer to keep beer/wine cool. We would recommend them
