Missing a gasket
Missing a gasket, but was able to use the old one. The phone number for help was only for locating a local dealer. What was the local dealer suppose to do? They didn't send the incomplete shipment. So, no advise or help available and gambled with the old gasket. I expect better of Br&St.

Works Great in my Lawn Mower
I bought this to repair a carb on my Troy Built lawn mower. The float valve was sticking and vacillating between flooding the engine and dripping fuel into the hot muffler. Zero joy there. I decided to replace the carb because the rebuild kit reviewers said the float valve wasn't in some of the kits. Also because this was only about $20 more and I'm getting lazy, er, efficient in my old age. The mower was just going into it's 5th year. I didn't use fuel stabilizer and/or us a shutoff valve and run the bowl dry during the off season so it's pretty much my fault gumming up the float bowl. The carb is an exact match. Install was a breeze. Both needed gaskets were there. Started on the first pull. I've mowed the lawn once. Sounds like it's in tune. Cuts like it's in tune. No smoke. No more leaking fuel. OEM ROCKS!!!
I have ordered a few aftermarket cheap carburetors previously, the last 2 that I have ordered have leaked fuel out the throat of the carburetor as soon as I installed them. Do yourself a favor and order factory OEM, not made in china crap. Almost always a perfect fit and no issues!! This carburetor worked out great, the one thing that stood out and made me order OEM this time is the aftermarket replacement carburetor for this application, had the fuel inlet valve on the opposite side and they include a new piece of fuel line to alter and compensate. . .

Carburetor received is the main picture, was unsure at first as all other pictures are of another carb but seem to be for dimensions only, original briggs and Stratton 796608 supplied, fitted in under 5min and started on first pull, very fast delivery from USA with no hassle. Price plus package is very reasonable. Thanks very much. Very pleased. Picture is of the mower which had been submerged in a river.

Nothing like genuine parts
Carburetor shipped very quickly, Amazon is #1. Installed the new carb, engine started right up, no hesitation. Genuine parts may cost a bit more, but fit like a glove with no modifications.
