Doctor told me to order large but friend who wears them told me to get x-large and going by sizing charts and my measurements I ordered the x-large. The support sock does what it's supposed to and relieves my edema. Lower legs are just about back to normal every morning when I wake up. With summer hear I have thought about ordering the open toe ones so I could wear sandals but would like to hear from people who have to see if it's worth ordering since they are not returnable. Would definitely recommend the close toe ones..
