I like it, but...

I really do like this coffee maker. I bought it to replace my last Capresso that I also really liked. I am THRILLED with the new design, allowing me to pour with one hand, instead of having to unscrew the top halfway, And on the old one, it always leaked anyway. But now, no leaks! What I don't like is the beeping when the coffee is done brewing. Not because I don't like the notification, but that after it beeps it continues to drip when I try to pour a cup. So I know I need to wait another few minutes or so before I even think about pouring. Other than that it really is great.

Loud chime, can't disable!!

I like Capresso coffee makers and they've been my brand of choice for a long time, they make good coffee even though they brew pretty quickly. BUT any coffee maker that has a chime, beep, or bell that can't be disabled is ridiculous. Here are some reasons you might want long loud beeps to announce that your coffee is ready: 1) You frequently go into deep reveries which distract you from the fact you pressed the brew button about five minutes ago. 2) You are angry at someone within 100 feet and want to ensure they are forced awake or out of a relaxed state. 3) Your guest is hogging the conversation and you want to interrupt it. 4) It startles your pet and a funny video of that could be just the thing to boost your numbers So to sum up: there is a loud series of beeps that can't be disabled, and now I have to include this in my search criteria.

Middle rating, does make great coffee

If not for a great cup of coffee, I would return it. Thank goodness I make 5 cups (really 2.5) using the 1-4 cup setting. Craft does not keep it warm much longer than a hour and a half. If you use the dishwasher, water comes from who knows where after setting it up right. Great coffee for a long time at this cost, I hope

Stainless steel pot that keep the coffee hot

This is a very nice stainless steel pot that keeps the coffee hot and is easy to use. I didn't give the Flavor a 5 star rating because I feel that has a lot to do with the coffee you use and ours gives us a 5 star rating!

Can't get rid of noisy alert.

The most annoying thing about this coffee maker is the loud beeping sound at the completion of the brewing process. I phoned customer service and they said I could not lower or turn it off. Too bad because its going back to Amazon this week after I receive my new Cuisinart coffee maker with an alert that can be turned off.

We love it

We finally had to replace our coffee maker. It had served us well for about 6 years. We loved it so much we replaced it with the same model. Coffee stays hot. It has the option of 1-4 cups or more cups.

Leaking from Top Using Paper Filters; Seems Solved with Gold Cone

I bought this Capresso product because it resembled a discontinued model that I had in the past (2 of them) and loved. I tell you this so you will understand that I am familiar with how the lid and dripper are supposed to align and work. (Not sure dripper is the right name). They do not always align properly on this pot; the hot coffee spills out over the lid instead of in the pot. I called Capresso when this started happening and was told peer in with a flashlight and check the alignment. Unfortunately, I have to do this with every pot I brew and it is still hard to tell if the parts are aligned properly. I KNOW the lid is on tight and in the right position, so it must be the dripper thing. It has 3 holes for the coffee to go through, and they just seem to be too widely spaced for the narrow opening in the lid. I am not able to set the timer because I have to stand there and watch the process so I can turn the pot off if coffee starts going all over the counter. Because of my success with Capresso in the past I did not save the box and now it is too late to return to Amazon. This is the worst coffee maker I have ever owned, including models that were less than half the price. I am amazed that no on else has mentioned this issue yet, but it is a fairly new model. Buyer beware! A few weeks later: Previously I was using paper filters, which I prefer. Decided to see if it made a difference using the gold filter. Fingers crossed,.. have not had any more leaking from top issues. I am also VERY careful about the order of things: fill up water tank first, put lid on pot; put pot in place, THEN put coffee in the filter. So far, so good. I prefer using paper filters, but am willing to compromise to avoid the coffee-on-counter mess. Upgrading from 1 star to 3 stars.
