Disappointing

I wanted a replacement for a cast aluminum and iron birdbath we have had for over 20 years - the bowl finally gave up the ghost. This one looked as if it would do the trick. Unfortunately it is not what I had hoped. Pros: looks nice and should be easy to assemble (I haven't done that yet because I'm trying to decide whether to keep it or go to the trouble of packing it up and hauling it to UPS) Cons: Too lightweight. The pedestal and stand may be ok. The bowl is flimsy - no more substantial than a pan lid Color is not what is shown in pictures or as described. It's supposed to be antique green (like oxidized copper). It is mainly black with some green highlights showing here and there. Instructions - they're clear, but leave out one step - attaching the pedestal to the base. It's not difficult to figure that out, but it is a flaw. Over all, this is inexpensive, so I got what I paid for, I guess, but I honestly wouldn't recommend it to someone looking for quality. This certainly won't last as long as my previous birdbath.

Would buy again

Sent this to my Mom for her birthday and she loves it. It is light enough for her to move around but not blow over.

A Pretty Piece of Art - IF it holds up!

This small fountain looks great. I needed to THROW OUT another Chinese-made fountain that literally disintegrated within a year, so I hope this one is more durable - so discouraging to see a product that should have lasted decades, if better made, go to LANDFILL! China is literally flooding us with junk. The problems others have noted with leakage have been solved with the addition of a rubber washer. Not a great deal of water volume, but it really is an attractive piece that now graces a corner of my garden!

Nice for the money

I was a little leery after reading some past reviews about it not being able to hold water, but I figured for the money I'd take a chance. I'm very pleased to say that it seems the issue has been resolved and I've had no such problem. It's heavy enough not to blow over and yet not so much that you can't easily move around. I love the look and quality of this product!

Very beautiful!

Not only beautiful but sturdy as well. It was easy to assemble. Took less than the 30 minutes the instructions said. Also the instructions recommended two people to put it together, but I had no trouble putting it together myself. It adds a lot of character to my back yard. I liked it so much I ordered two.

Looks great, but doesn’t function so well...

Really liked the appearance and that it’s actually metal, most I looked at, while similar in appearance, were plastic and weighed only about 4-5 lbs. I wish the basin was solid and the center part optional. It leaks where you screw the center part in. A rubber gasket might have helped, but not having one, my husband used silicone around the base. It still leaks, and now I’ve siliconed the upper side too, and am waiting for that to dry to see if it holds water yet. I also think it may be hard for the birds to bathe in with the center piece. Really expect something whose primary purpose is to hold water, to not leak. A bit disappointed. UPDATE: 1 week later... Holding water and looking pretty.

Easy assembly, good design

This arrived quickly, was incredibly easy to assemble and set up. My only complaint is that the water evaporates (or is thrown out by the birds) to quickly; otherwise, a great deal!
