Pretty light for a garage or large-closet ceiling.

This is a pretty, solidly-built LED disk downlight suitable for a high-end garage or walk-in closet ceiling where surface-mounting is wished, as with a small or over-loaded junction box. It is not impervious so dead bugs settling into the lens; read that backside label. Big keys for screws were not necessary. The labeled vinyl covering of keys is sure to be punctured. Simple screw holes would be capped by screw heads. A good white gasket blocks bugs at the rim, but most junction boxes will glow into the ceiling maddeningly attracting bugs to their guiding stars. Beware, the diodes are in a too-compact array, and the lens does not disperse glare. Know that the glossy lens must be turned a bit by palm friction to release the lens for installation or removal. There are simpler, cheaper utility LED disks with spring clips that engage a mounting plate for more-intuitive and easier pop-on, pop-off. I bought a box of a dozen of these lights and for their slick beauty, will keep them as an installer, readily finding personal uses and resale.

Great light quality, easy to install, though slightly less bright than I expected

I just replaced all the ceiling lights in my livings room, kitchen, and finished basement with these. They are generally fantastic! The light quality is excellent, and you cannot beat the color accuracy for anywhere near this price. Installation took only a few minutes each (I highly recommended Wago 211 lever nuts for speed and ease). The light is well diffused and there’s no buzz or hum. They aren’t the most high fashion light fixtures, but they do the job perfectly and are low profile, so great for our low basement ceiling.

Avoid this one

Does not come with instructions that actually match the light fixture. Even if you go on the company’s website, there are not instructions on how to remove the cover. Also, the color switch isn’t labeled so you don’t really know the light temperature you’re choosing before you go to the trouble of installing it. Avoid this one.
