My caulk is amazing!
I've never looked forward to squeezing out loads onto the floor--but I do now. In fact, I was about to toss out 2-3 cases of old polyurethane construction spunk because it had thickened up to the point that it was giving me bloody palm blisters just trying to pump one out. And you know this young buck was not happy about that! But then I wizened up and looked into some of the powered caulk dispensers... I decided on the COX 61002 gun, and it has been working like a charm for me ever since. It's not heavy, yet it's built well. The plunger head came loose on me once. It's just held on by two jam nuts. No biggie. It isn't perfect insofar as the caulk always absolutely stopping when you let off the trigger. It's not the gun's fault though. It totally releases all pressure on the canister. But a couple tubes of mine continued to dribble. I'm sure you know how that goes... Most didn't though. Have a clean bucket next to you with a weight in the bottom of it (so it doesn't get tipped over if somebody bumps the air hose). Then just set the gun down inside of that every time, and you'll be set. If you are accustomed to squeezing conventional caulking guns and you try this... I think you will be slack-jawed and giddy like I was! (At least for a while.) Then you realize how much faster you can go, with no effort, and then you'll really get excited. I am never going back to the old squeeze gun again, if I can help it. I can shoot load after load, without fail (and no recovery time!) Life is good. Just be careful and don't get your fingers pinched near end of tube. I didn't, but I would hate to see what happens to a finger if it gets caught in there when the trigger is depressed. The least it'll do is break bones. Once it's loaded and the slack is taken out, then there's no way to get pinched and it's totally safe to use. Just handle it deliberately while loading.

Works well - keep it lubricated
This product was a great buy for my project. I started with a manual gun but soon found out that was going to be nearly impossible. I was looking for an electric caulk gun but they were super expensive. Came across this and had to buy it. I have now completed installation of Sika sealer - 17 tubes. Worth every penny. Just today I used this to do some touch up. I was a little concerned after doing the remnants of a tube that the piston would not retract, could not force it to move. So I re-attached it to the compressor and got the piston to extend completely. After getting it to move was able to retract it completely. When I was done, I put some air tool lubricant into the fitting and worked the piston in and out a few times. Think that should prevent it from becoming stuck for the next time I need to use it.

I can never live without this anymore!
My husband and I put up the sheetrock in our upstairs - 1600 sq feet. We used sheetrock adhesive along with the screws. That got tiring on our hands right away! So I searched to see if there was something pneumatic. Voila!! It is so easy, quick, and efficient. You can have a consistent stream of calk on a 12 foot board. It doesn't kill your hand squeezing the manual caulk gun. You can cut your tube to to thin or thick, and then alter the pressure of the gun to match the speed you want. When the tube is a little low, we would turn down the pressure as the adhesive would come out faster since the air pressure didn't have a whole tube of glue to push against. We both love this. It is amazing. I'll never go back to a manual caulk gun again (unless it is just a dab here or there I need to do). I would love it if they had a tube canister for the smaller size tubes as well, and you cold switch them out. They only have the larger tube size. But, that small detail doesn't diminish how wonderful it is. We love it!!!

Gun's plunger locked up - not good!
I ordered this caulk gun, because I had a pretty large home project to do. I was sealing my driveway & sidewalk expansion joints, which involved needing approx. 48 large - 29oz. Sika sealant tubes. We had nice weather, for 2 days, so I was on a short timeline to complete my project. The Cox caulk gun arrived, and looked really nice! I added some air tool oil before I even plugged it into my air line. I adjusted my psi regulator to 60 psi. and tested the gun for proper operations...everything seemed to be working well. So off to work on my project I go! Everything was working as expected. The caulk gun was going to be a Godsend I thought, because it made applying the sealant a breeze. Well, on the 7th. tube (of 48), I noticed that plunger wasn't retracting correctly? So I added some more air tool oil to the inlet fitting, before I inserted the next tube. On the 8th. tube, the gun's plunger locked up completely!! It wouldn't move in either direction?!? You've got to be kidding me I thought to myself! Why now? So I had to run to a Big Box Store (the orange one), and buy a manual 29oz. caulk gun, to complete my project. Yep, I hand pumped the remaining 40 tubes of sealant! Luckily for me, the Sika self leveling sealant flows really easy & well. Yes my fore arms were a little sore...and doing this, increased my grip strength too! So after I completed my project, I had to becareful holding a long neck bottle of beer, as I didn't want to crush the glass bottle in my hand!! ; ) The Cox Caulk Gun did work well...when it worked. But longevity & durability wasn't there. Frustration when the gun locked-up, was there! Completely Disappointed. Note: I had Zero Issues returning this item with Amazon. And received a full refund.

You don't have to be on your knees wen you have a huge caulk
The best thing: I no longer have to be on my knees wen resealing a roof, I reseal a lot of roofs and its really hard on the knees and yes I do wear the knee pads, The middle handle is adjustable and it has a Built in regulator, So you just turn the knob to increase or decrease the pressure, So no need for a external regulator, what I don't like: Is trying to keep the air hose away from the sealer just laid, if it gets on the hose its a huge mess, no joke, so I'm hopping somebody comes up with a rechargeable one for a reasonable price..
