Easy install, good value

I’m not a mechanic, and this was still easy to install. Took no more than 30-45 minutes going slowly and methodically. Fits the Toyota Tacoma 2005-2015 perfectly and has worked well for me. Would recommend if you don’t want to splice wires.

Easy Install

I would go for 5 stars, BUT the double sided patch they provided was all dried out and worthless. Ugh.. I had to jump through hoops to secure the module inside the twilight box.

Doesn’t get much easier than this!

Clean off some paint, drive a self tapper in for ground, zip tie the slack, plug and play from there! I HATE cutting factory wiring, this was the answer!

OEM quality

I loved how easy to install this harness was. It is now installed into a Mexican Toyota Hilux 2017. Every connector fits without a problem. The instructions on how to replace it are great. My recommendation is for you to get a tester to keep in the truck for future usage. It only adds a couple of dollars to the setup. Great product!!

Installed on a 2014 Tacoma after waiting approx. 1 month for Curt to confirm (in their application chart) that the T-Connector for the 2013 Tacoma also fits the 2014. It does! And the quality of this harness is first rate, including the connectors which appear to be identical to the Toyota OEM. Just a few suggestions to improve the installation experience: First, there's really no need to drill a hole to attach the ring terminal ground. Inside the left tail-light housing, there are 3-4 machine screws (ends) attaching the metal housing to the truck body. You need only use one to attach the ring terminal; I used the upper right with a nut and lock washer I supplied. I tested this ground location with a meter and found that it's solid. No drilling. A second suggestion would be to add wire conduit to all three branches of the T. While not required, I believe this upgrade improves the integrity (and certainly the protection) of the wiring and conforms with the OEM wiring in the vicinity of the T-Connector. If you do install conduit, do this BEFORE you plug in and route your wiring. Much easier this way. You'll need approx. 10 ft. of 3/8" or 1/2" split seam conduit; I used Dorman #86651 @ $6 (approx.). Seal conduit ends with electrical tape. Finally, as this T-Connector supplies a flat-4 connector to the trailer, I suggest that you include the Curt 58001 bracket to attach this connector to your receiver tube. It's inexpensive and fits perfectly. 7/28/14 Edit. While I certainly maintain my 5-star rating of this T-Connector, I've found that, over time (6 mos.), one minor flaw presents. The double-sided adhesive strip that's intended to hold the converter box in place loses its adhesive holding power. No worries; the fix is easy: Just replace with similar sized "industrial strength" Velcro. (I recommend 3M Dual-Lok. Very strong and inexpensive.) Cover the entire back of the box with the Velcro and attach to a (preferably) smooth and clean vertical sheet metal surface. (I had no trouble finding this.) If I were on the Product Development Team at Curt, I'd recommend a redesign of the box to include two (2) mounting ears through which sheet metal screws could be used to attach the box -- again, to a non-structural non-frame vertical surface.

Fit perfectly on a 2010 Tacoma

This replaced one installed incorrectly by a nearby Truck and Van shop. It was very easy to install, less than twenty minutes from start to finish and works great. It has been installed for 5 months through rain etc with no issues. The last one was installed with the box below the truck bed, making it open to the elements and it didn't last through a Canadian winter before shorting out the brake lights and causing me to not be able to put my truck into gear. After being towed to a garage and having the cause pinpointed to the incorrectly installed trailer wiring, which was removed, all was good. This unit was recommended to me by the repair garage.
