Great spout!

I read other reviews mentioning how well this spout worked and I found them to be very accurate! I've tried other replacements in the past, including name brands, and they've always leaked when activated. When you pull up on this diverter, nothing comes out of the spout - all to the shower head like it's supposed to. Would highly recommend. Plus, it's a good price!

Missing a piece

I could not get it to tighten down and finally realized it was missing a piece. When you screw in the bolt that is supposed to lock it in place, it should have a piece inside there that snugs up to the pipe. Mine is missing so it will not snug up and turns around the pipe easily. We tried to use it and of course it just popped off the pipe. It looks nice and feels like good quality but is worthless without the piece that holds it tight to the pipe. I'm disappointed.

Didn't have super high hopes but blown away.

This little thing!!! I don't know how Kholer, Moen, and all the other big names in plumbing haven't figured out how to make a good diverter--this thing is rock solid. Sure, it's a little thin-feeling, and the water doesn't come out in a pretty stream into the tub, it sort of barfs it out--but who cares, because it diverts 99.9% of the water to the shower head! I've had fancy $150+ shower hardware that diverts maybe 75% to the shower head, and then spits the rest of the hot water straight down the drain. Honestly, I don't want to think how much inefficient faucets have cost me. I bought this for one reason, to divert water to the shower head, and it does it better than any faucet I've seen in any house or hotel anywhere. So yeah, 5 stars for this little champ you might not suspect. Also, cheap. Installed fine. Looks decent and modern.

Better than Moen OEM

The quality of most name brand (Moden, Kholer, Delta, etc.) fixture manufacturers have really gone downhill in recent years. I got this to replace a brand new Moen spout that dripped right out of the box and was cheap and flimsy. Kind of annoying considering it was over 100$ for the kit. Being able to avoid the threaded mount was nice. No need to space the pipe perfectly to avoid a gap. I paired this with the Danco spout remodel ring and it's a perfect match. created a beautiful and completely sealed tub spout for under $20 bucks.

What's included...No is the answer

The plastic slip on piece is part of it. It has an insert that I think you can remove to thread it into the plastic... It's darker than the picture, but seems ok...says it may contain lead...does not contain allen wrench. If you don't have a 4mm the job is very difficult. I had bits but not an actual L shaped wrench. So that was a 30min pain. Don't forget to get a half inch flange if you need one to fill in gap to wall. I siliconed too.

Worked like a charm

Beautiful finish, installation was easy. Make sure you have a set of Allan Keys handy, it doesn't come with one.
