Amazing color!

Unique piece to add color to your space

Design Toscano's Western Faux Cow Skull adds color and uniqueness to your room. It would be awesome if it were turquoise or actual mosaic tile, but the paint job is good. It has nice attention to detail and the stand is really solid with plenty of weight. I certainly do not think this has to go in a western designed/themed room, it can go with other styles as well. Most people that have seen it have loved it or really questioned it. Those that questioned it usually came around to it after giving it time though. It's fun and colorful.

Eye-catching and unusual

This sculpture is definitely one of those 'Marmite' things that you'll either love or hate. It is quite a large piece and it does not blend easily into my decor but because I like unusual things I still think it looks great. The horns with rope around the bottom look very realistic whilst the actual skull with its bright turquoise, mosaic pattern on jet black background is really eye-catching. The simple, black, rectangular base creates a very stable mount for the skull and it is also inconspicuous so does not detract from the overall appearance of the sculpture. The description on this listing does state that this piece is "Ideal for your home or garden" but I would imagine it is only intended as an occasional garden piece. The fairly comprehensive sheet of care instructions included with the sculpture do recommend that it is not left outside during the winter - though there's no mention of the colours fading if exposed to prolonged, strong sunlight. This is a quality, decorative object that I really like.
