Great quality in a turkish towel.

This towel is soft and absorbent. It is perfect to keep in your car for a surprise picnic, trip to the beach or for any time you need a towel. It's a great gift for teenage grandkids.

Not so quick

This product feels a bit like drying off with a paper towel, except for those are more absorbent! I was disappointed in how quick this towel takes to dry. The only good thing is it takes up half the room in my beach bag compared to other towels.

I love this towel, I bought another one!

I love this towel! It’s huge, I wish I would had this when I was pregnant. Its so absorbent, and lightweight, perfect for the beach, doesn’t take up as much room in your bag which I love. I need to buy more.

If sandpaper were a towel

Little hard bumps all across it that haven’t softened with several washes. I don’t know how anyone calls this soft. I was hoping to really like this and replace some main bath towels with them but I will not be purchasing more.

Lightweight material with good quality, gorgeous pattern

Pretty happy with this purchase. I’ve been on the hunt for thin beach towels because carrying multiple, bulky, you-can-never-fit-them-all-in-one-bag beach towels is one of my greatest pet peeves. I’ve used it probably half a dozen times since purchasing. All for use at the pool, both at home and on vacation. It’s thicker than I expected it to be, but that’s not a bad thing. The material feels nice and thick and of quality; not bulky. It’s still crazy thin and light. I’ve used it both to cover up and to wrap around me when I’m out of the water. I can’t speak to absorbency because I haven’t paid attention to that aspect. But as a pool/beach towel, I’d highly recommend it to those looking. Keeps you warm in the shade when you’re dripping wet. Oh, and it is big! Plenty long and wide enough to wrap around you and then some. I want to buy several more to keep in our linen closet as our go-to pool towels. And maybe even hang a few up in our guest bathroom for visitors.

Works at a Bath Sheet

[Update] I got my first of these towels as for Vine review but I did buy several more. My glowing review applies only to the smaller yellow towel and the pink and blue with "Beach" in the color name. THOSE are sturdier and better than the other, thinner colors. Very disappointed that they are all different. ============= When I first opened the package, I thought "this can't possibly replace a regular bath towel." But what it lacks in thickness it makes up for in absorbency. My biggest complaint about so-called thirsty towels is that they just push the water around, leaving you colder and wetter. This one sucked up the water very quickly, and dried quickly. The tassels on the end make it look more like a decorative throw, but that's a minor point. Going to order a few more to see how much room I can save it my linen closet! They are so thin I think I can gain back a lot of shelf space!

Met all my expectations

I don't write reviews often and certainly not until I've used the product. I made this purchase just before I left for two weeks in the Holy Land. I used it as a blanket and shawl on the plane, a pillow on the bus, and as a skirt when we arrived at a church that hadn't been on the day's itinerary and I needed to have more modest covering than my shorts. This was one of the best travel products I purchased and I'm looking forward to traveling with it to many more places. (Oh, and other reviewers were right, it needs to be washed before it's first use - it became much softer after it's first wash.)

This arrived just like it looks in the photo and is just gorgeous

Edited a year later: after almost 2 years these towels are going strong! I do pat them out of the dryer and they fold nicely on the towel rack. I am considering buying more. I really like the weight of these compared to other Turkish towels. Original review:This arrived just like it looks in the photo and is just gorgeous. Nice feel, super nice packaging and looks beautiful hanging in my guest bathroom. The only reason that I did not give this more stars is because out of the washer and driver, it definitely needs to be ironed.....which will never happen unless I hit the lottery and get a maid. :)

Great but incorrectly described

Thin like a tea towel, very absorbent, dries quickly, folds up light weight and small. Great for travel or beach bag. Embossed woven pattern. Stripes are woven (not a print). Good quality. Amazon description said Turkish cotton, but item itself says 100% cotton, made in India. The wrapping card says "Fouta Towel". I googled and found explanation "Fouta towels, also known as Turkish or peshtemal towels...". But I wouldn't want to gift this towel because it doesn't say Turkish.

Beautiful and nice and soft

Beautiful and nice and soft!!! Will make a great beach towel as well as a nice park blanket!! Rolls up nice and small so easy to transport in a beach bag or bike basket and rolls out to be nice and big!!!

Not soft, made in India not in Turkey. It should have made with Turkish cotton. Its not real Turkish towel. Size is good and color is good.

very beautiful and light

I use this at the beach. It so light and dries fast. Washes well, though I did not put it in the drier. very beautiful and light. big enough for me to lie on. doesn't take up much space in my beach bag either! Texture reminds me of linen.

Good quality, but not super soft

Not super soft as advertised, even after washing twice... Also not as small as expected to travel, but still practical.
