great towels

I needed some thinner towels, rather then terry cloth. these worked great, but i only needed 2, so i cut the other ones in half and hemmed them for napkins.

Color not true to what is advertised

I normally do not leave reviews. The pack of 6 that i bought looked great. The color was not as bright white that I wanted. Unfortunately, the plastic tags they use to keep the towels together made noticeable holes in each towel. I wouldn't recommend these towels for any type of craft.

Thin Material, wrinkles bad!

I bought these towels thinking they would be good to emborder on for gifts, They are a lot thinner than what i expected. I washed them to make sure they were true size and WOW they wrinkled so bad. Just caution to these two things i feel are problems for me.

Perfect for iron on transfers!

I purchased these to make friends, tea towels with iron on transfers. These are the only towels where the transfer actually stuck! Great quality, thick.

Price has increased 50% in 2 weeks

I ordered these towels in white for machine embroidery. They are nice enough, although not perfectly rectangular and a little hard to fold evenly. I have not washed them yet. I was going to buy another set for Easter embroidery but the price has increased 50% since I ordered the first set two weeks ago. They are not worth $5 each, imho.

Everything I needed, and more! Durable, heavy grade cotton toweling perfect for embroidery

Beautiful, durable, vintage-type cotton towels -- absolutely perfect for my needs. I purchased these towels to hand embroider designs onto them and then give them as treasured gifts. Prior to working with them, I pre-washed and dried them. There was almost no shrinkage; in fact, towels came ever so slightly larger than the stated size to accommodate any shrinkage. Prior to my purchase, I asked the online community a question-I asked if it would be possible to create a self-fringe on one end of the towel. The answer given to me was yes and YES is absolutely correct (towels come with a stitched 1/4 inch doubled hem all sides). To do this, I seam-ripped the stitched hem on one (short) side, pressed the new edge flat, machine stitched a double layer of stitching about 1 inch from the edge, and purposely frayed the edge by removing the cross threads up to the stitching The results are fabulous!! The fabric for this towel is thick enough to hide any embroidery threads from the back of my work. This is NOT a standard thin tea towel. Instead, it is more like a vintage mid to heavy weight cotton towel perfect for gift-giving, craft projects, and absorbent heavy work-duty. I am so happy with this purchase that I've decided these will be my all time go-to towels. Please Amazon, do NOT stop carrying this excellent product.

Off grain, wrinkles

I tried these after reading the reviews. After laundering, they shrunk and wrinkled so badly I now have expensive dustcloths. I tried to iron out the wrinkles and used spray starch. Didn't work. Now I have to hunt down towel blanks again.

Keeps its shape

These diapers keep their shape after washing. I use diapers to make burp cloths for baby gifts and these were a dream to work with. They did not warp after washing.

Only needs ironing first couple of times out of the wash, becomes more absorbent over time...

I do not often leave reviews, but I really love these towels and wanted to address some of the negative comments about these towels not being absorbent and wrinkling easily. First of all, I bought these because I wanted good larger sized dish towels made of natural cotton material, and not something synthetic. The towels I received are high-quality and made of tight knit, high thread-count cotton material with good stitching. They are thick as far as tea towels go, like a heavy cloth napkin, and very durable. After the first wash, they came out of the drier extremely wrinkled, and I thought "oh no, if I have to iron these every time that will not work for me." However, I only needed to iron them after the first two washes, and now I simply smooth them out directly out of the drier and they are fine. I was also concerned that they did not seem to absorb water well at first. Basically, I have learned that the towels take a few washings before they relax, a bit like pre-washed jeans. After that, they become more fully absorbent, less wrinkled, and much softer!

Great towels for embroidery

I ordered these in the natural colour, and at first they seemed quite yellow and bright. but after washing and embroidering them for gifts, they are actually the perfect off white/cream colour. They hold up embroidery pretty well, easy to work with and have a good weave and thickness. They wash great and while the hem isn't 100% rectangular... none of my tea towels are to be honest. They have a little loop on the corner to hang, and are very good quality. just placed a second order!

Mediocre

The fabric is a good weight. Disappointed that the edges aren’t straight - each towel has one edge that’s not perfectly square. One of the towels has some orange marks on it. It’s really too bad, the stitching is good, the fabric is good, but because the end of each towel is crooked, it’s just not a good value.

Very Disappointing! Do NOT Buy - poor quality!

Originally purchased these in 2019 to embroider on. I was very happy with the quality of these towels then. However, when I ordered them again in Oct. 2022 I am very disappointed in the quality. They are VERY thin with flaws in the weave of the cotton (thick threads and random dark threads)...cheaply made. Poor sewing as well. This I feel reflects on the quality of my work so, therefore, I cannot use.
