Caution! Your Wrist Size matters, and not (fully) 7750 compatible

CAUTION: Description above does NOT match TPD settings listed in owners manual accompanying product. PROS: 1.) Well constructed overall, looks good. 2.) Properly packaged 3.) Quiet CONS: Some fundamental flaws here. You can STOP reading if: a.) you have a 6.75"- wrist or b.) 7.75" wrists c.) You only have watches with straps instead of bracelets d.) Will never place a Valjoux 775x chronograph on it. IF any of those 4 conditions apply, see other reviews. However, if you have "average" sized wrists and bracelets, or have watches in your collection with the famous Valjoux chronograph movement BEWARE this winder. I have relatively normal sized wrists at 7" ~ 7.125". The pillow design here only allows for SMALL (Ladies, ~6.25) watches on bracelet or LARGE watch bracelets (8"). Not to get too technical, but my wrist just measured out to 7.125". The pillow with LARGE sleeve removed measures 7". (Careful: your bracelet to fit a 7" wrist will probably be sized up to 1/4" larger than your wrist to allow for wiggle room) --That said, the pillow provided, with large sleeve removed, is 1/4 too small and the watch flops around way too much. To summarize: -If your wrist is 7" to 7.6" and you use bracelets - BE PREPARED TO GET CREATIVE to keep them from flopping all around. -6.75" WRIST IS THE SWEET SPOT for the PILLOW w/o/SLEEVE. -7.75" WRIST IS THE SWEET SPOT for the PILLOW w/SLEEVE -Watches on Leather or Rubber straps can be sized accordingly... TURNS PER DAY SETTINGS: Ignore the description above. The manual, and personal confirmation shows: 1.) 650 TPD Clockwise 2.) 900 TPD Counter-Clockwise (THIS IS FOR ASIAN/CHINESE 21J / Miyota Clone) 3.) 1350 TPD Bi-Directional (~Might keep a 7750 charged for a few "days") 4.) 1800 TPD Bi-Directional (~Might keep a 7750 charged for a "week or so") --- What is missing a 1000 TPD "Clockwise" that is optimal for 7750's. So if you are lucky to have the "exactly sized wrists" or don't mind rubber banding your watches to the pillows on your $250 winder, and don't have 7750 based watches. You might like this. :-/ One more minor design oversight, there is no small thumb/finger lift to lift open the lid. Competing products usually have them just above the key way. To open and close the winder you will have mark up the sides with finger prints. :-(

Very quiet.

Winder is larger then I thought it would be but still fits in my old wonders location. Build quality is nice and the unit is very quiet! The LED lights are a nice bright off white blue color very nice... The fake leather is nice looks durable and the pillows that hold the watches can be sized by removing a layer off the pillow, although this is a nice feature it may not work perfectly for every size. The knobs used to select rotations per day are solid and feel good however on my unit the dial marker indicating what mode your are in was not glued on quite right so the indicator is a little off. This doesn't not change its actual function though. The key and lock are a nice touch however on my unit the lock mechanism was not machined correctly so the key will not engage to turn the claps to lock. For me this wasn't a huge deal, but it is unfortunate that this feature does not work...

Incredible Watch Winder

I have been using this watch winder for about a week now. I was very surprised at the quality of the packaging and the winder itself when I received it. It was packed very securely and was beautiful when opened. However, it was much larger and heavier than I thought it would be. The finish is beautiful and the LED lights add a very cool and unique look (although they are very bright in dark room). The winders themselves are extremely quiet. I cannot even hear them when they are turning. I have heard about other watch winders that stop working in short order, but I am hopeful that my initial impressions of the quality of this unit will hold true in the long term. I would highly recommend this Diplomat Watch winder.

Highly recommended

Ordered it 14 Feb, arrived 25Feb in South Africa, Product looks awesome and I'm very happy with it. Even with the $180 freight and duty fee I still think this is a bargain compared to what is available here. It is absolutely silent in operation, it is in our bedroom and impossible to hear when the motors are turning.The light makes a great showcase. Only reason for not giving it 5 stars is that the key for the lock does not fit which is a pity. I would recommend to anyone.

Agree with other reviewers who accurately described the functioning and size of this winder. One note of caution, the gassing-off of the interior material is unpleasant. I have not left the unit door open often or long enough to see if this odor dissipates, but hopefully once I get to it it will. Otherwise, stinks interior! Not a big enough issue for me to go down more than 1 star, but buyer beware.

Looks and runs well

I've had the watch winder for about 2.5 weeks. The box is huge. The finish of the product is very impressive, it looks fantastic especially with the LED lights lite up. There is minimal sound from the motors. It is on my night stand next to the bed and I can barley hear it when it is winding. It does not interrupt my wife or my sleep in any way. Hopefully, the quiet smooth function will continue in the next several months to years.
