Was great for as long as it worked

Was great for as long as it worked! We got it in June 2013 and it stopped working in Nov. 2015. We thought it was the bulb so we ordered new bulbs and after replacing bulb it still did not work!

Great lamp!

I only gave this lamp 4 stars because mine is pale grey, not cream/white as stated. (I checked the box & couldn't see a color specified on it) Its not a big enough problem for me to want to return it. Neither my husband or I were able to push the shaft all the way to the line, or hear a click, when attaching it to the base. However, I have mine between the couch & a wall, so it is sturdy. The base is nice & heavy, & the part where the bulb is can swivel & be out of the way when not in use. The switch is at a handy height for me, & the light is perfect. Great value, & I would definitely buy it again!

Total junk, failed within a month.

Worked nicely. For a month, then died. Being an electronics engineer, I decided to see what was wrong. It has a power supply in the base that blew a (non-replaceable) fuse and vaporized two capacitors. Total junk. I'm going to rebuild the power supply, but clearly this isn't something the average buyer would (or should) do. Buy something else, unless you like electronics repair.

Very good lamp

This is a pretty good light for reading and crafts. I have been using it for two years and it is holding up well. The only con is that it is not built as well as my OttLite floor lamp, but it is not a deal breaker by any means.

Didn't Work

The lamp would not turn on. Apparently the on-off switch was broken. A tech from our building did his damnedest and couldn't get it to work, so we returned it. But the return process was easy and efficient!

If you are a reader, day or night, this lamp is required equipment beside your favorite chair or you bed. It's energy efficient and bulbs are readily available on the web. If you are looking for a Christmas gift for a person who reads...look no further.

Better light than expected...!!!

Fast Shipment - Extremely well packed - easy to assemble - but the best part - BRIGHT LIGHT AND GOOSENECK is so flexible and convenient. We're actually thinking of ordering another. Thanks AMAZON and Thanks EasyEye Energy.
