My dog LOVES this ball!

I bought one a month ago. My dog loved it but we lost it. I bought her a different ball which she liked. But I could tell she didn’t like it as much do I bought her another of these. She literally Carrie’s it around with her hoping I’ll throw it for her. Like all day long.

My dog LOVES this ball. It is her favorite of all of her toys and balls. It smells but she loves it.

Not for my dog

I gave this toy 4 stars because it is well made and just as described and pictured. However, my blind, senior Yorkie rescue has no interest in it. We don't know how long she was on her own, but she was never feral-acting, but it appears she also doesn't know how to play. I would recommend this for a dog that had partial sight and had been raised and socialized by loving people.

Smells bad

I purchased this for my dog and he doesn’t really play with it. Not sure if it’s the smell of it but he chooses his other toys to play with. Good size ball though.

best ball ever!

my 20lb rescue is so happy whenever there is a toy in amazon packages, and this one did not disappoint! he hasn't let it go for 2 days and the squeaker is still working, quite a feat for this intense little guy! the bell is quite unnoticeable, but it does rattle around inside. I can't notice a 'beef' flavor, but he did - licks it when he gets tired of chomping. the texture, size (somewhat smaller than a tennis ball) and 'squeezeability' is just right, not too soft or too tough. - great purchase! he is pushing it against my leg for a fetch game as I am writing this lol update - a month later - still his fave toy and still squeaking. the squeaker is an unnoticeable tiny hole he can't seem to zoom in on - well done!

Perfect for blind/deaf dogs, and apparently cats

The media could not be loaded. We recently rescued a blind and deaf chihuahua, and she's had absolutely no trouble adjusting to living inside, knowing exactly where everything is. And she absolutely loves her toys, but it's hard for her to find them sometimes. Our options for toys she can easily find are obviously kind of limited. But she can smell this thing from a mile away ???? it bounces like crazy, our other animals also enjoy it.

I had hoped it would get my blind dog to get some action looking for it. The item is good but did not work at all for what I had hoped for.

Average ball

Not a bad ball in general if your dog is not too obsessive and is gentle when playing in general. But I got it for my dog who is going blind who is ball obsessed, specifically as it was supposed to be robust, smell strongly, make a fair bit of noise and hence help him find it when he couldn’t ‘see’ it anymore. The squeaker went in an hour, the bell inside is very quiet and he can’t seem to smell it easily either. Could just be his sense of smell but it also collapses regularly and I don’t think it is going to last more than a few weeks, if I am honest. It is already becoming egg shaped and so soon it won’t bounce well either. Shame as it seemed promising but just didn’t deliver.

Nice ball, dud squeaker, hasn't been chew-tested yet

I read all the reviews and decided to take a risk. The squeaker did break within an hour (as other reviewers have said) but the ball is extremely bouncy and he loves it - although at this price I don't leave him alone with it as he is a chewer! It has a very faint smell, nothing like the 'death and headaches' smell described by one reviewer but probably nice for a dog, and it has lasted several weeks so far. To describe the bounce, I gave it an experimental bounce in my kitchen - somewhere between a drop and a throw - and it nearly took out everything on the units, it was like flubber! Certainly the bounciest dog ball I've ever played with. The only problem is I daren't take it out on walks in case it gets lost, so it hasn't been played with much, but it fits snugly into a standard ball thrower so I will give it a go now the weather is improving - the bright colours will at least help a human to find it again!

Disappointed with this purchase

I bought this ball for my blind cavalier. The item arrived within the stated time. This ball does have bright colours (useless 'though for my blind dog). It does have a textured surface. The smell/taste of beef seems absent, as my dog (who has a keen sense of smell as do most blind dogs) ignores said ball. The most important aspect of this ball for me was the sound so my cavalier could hear where it was - the sound is merely a dull, quiet rattle. All in all it was a complete waste of money.

I love these balls, so good as I keeps my old dog active

I have bought quite a few of these balls as my dog loves them and also bought for other dogs too. I only wish I could choose the colours: blue or pink as when I order for my dog (girl), I always get the blue balls and when I order for my friends dogs (boys), I end up with the pink balls but the balls are great as the bell and squeek keeps them entertained and active. Thumbs up in my book.

My dog loves this ball, it's is second one ...

My dog loves this ball, it's is second one as he wore the first one out ! A bell rings when you shake it, there is a squeaker,although thankfully neither are loud, it bounces, fits to the size of his mouth being tennis ball size and smells of beef. What more could a dog want? Considering he can destroy a toy quite quickly the first one lasted him nearly a couple of years, well worth buying.
