Klimt The Virgin

Challenging puzzle, and was enjoyable to assemble. Not thrilled with the quality of the image… it was not a photographic copy of the painting…it was a pixelated image. Also, the colors in the image on the puzzle pieces were not accurate to the colors of the image on the box. One piece was missing, but it is entirely possible that the piece went missing in my home, as I had four school age grandchild helping me with the last stages of assembly!

Really difficult, but do-able!

We really enjoyed this puzzle. Because there are no hint markings on the back like other 1000-piece puzzles we've done, and so much of the painting features similar colors and patterns, it was really, really challenging, and took us about 3 weeks (of a few hours a day) to finish it. I gave it 4 stars because in the end there were 2 pieces missing, which was disappointing.

Beautiful picture but tiny, tiny pieces

This would be a great puzzle to do. Great picture, but tiny, tiny pieces. About the size of a US Quarter. It would help to provide larger, clearer "poster" size image along with pieces.

Excellent Product; Excellent Painting

The quality and fit of the pieces was great. Klimt is a magnificent painter and this puzzle was truly a joy to put together. I didn’t count the pieces (as another reviewer did), but there were no extras and none missing. I never use the image on the box to help put a puzzle together (after all, it’s a *puzzle* ????), so can’t attest to how accurate the image was compared to the actual puzzle pieces (a complaint from one of the reviewers).

Challenging and beautiful.

Been putting this together 4 days now an should be completed in another day. Then it will be framed and displayed just like The Kiss.

Love the image

I've had other Eurographics puzzles which are better than this one. The pieces are really loose and a number of them are bent. The other issue is that the image on the box is what you need to use the guide to complete the puzzle, but the colors are really off so it's hard to use it as a guide. It's beautiful but a little bit disappointing.

Extra piece!

I often see complaints about missing puzzle pieces. This one contained an extra - a duplicate which drove me crazy until I figured out it was a mistake. Too bad the company isn't more careful since the image is a lovely reproduction of a splendid work of art.

Fun and challenging

A beautiful print, fun to puzzle because of all the colour!

Difficult

I found this to be really challenging, especially at first. It was going very slowly and I almost gave up. I persisted, but I had to study each piece carefully - the colours swirl into each other and their are lots of quirky shaped pieces. it has given me even more respect for Klimt and his intricate compositions. Great quality jigsaw.

Good puzzle and generally high quality

It lost a star as one piece was bend and almost torn through - I managed to repair it with some PVA without it being really visible so I got away with it. I had a 2nd puzzle with the same pattern and it was OK. Some pieces tho are a bit fragile perhaps. Still it makes a change to have unusual piece shapes.

Excellent jigsaw

Eurographic puzzles are hard - that's why I love them. The pieces are all irregular shapes but the picture quality is good. This puzzle was medium difficult - unlike the Van Gogh Irises which I declared to be impossible on several occasions. (I finished it but it took me about half as long again as I usaually take) I never thought this was impossible and finished it in under two weeks. Just orderd two more -really difficult ones I hope!
