Not so offset

Maybe I’m finicky. This offset spatula looks to be good quality, but it is not offset enough for me. I need more angle! I could try to bend it, but I’ll opt for a return.

Best pizza peel for home use.

This is the best pizza peel for home pizza ovens. The stainless steel is thin enough so that I can easily get it under pizzas when I need to take them out. It can be washed in the dishwasher. It's not so long to help with storage. I haven't tried lifting a cake with it but it's certainly thick enough to do so. One note, because this peel is metal and not wood the dough will stick more than with a wood peel. I get around that by using some olive oil or cooking spray. This has a the added benefit of giving you a crispier crust. You can use cornmeal or flour as well but I prefer the olive oil. That being said, if you bake on a stone it can leave marks (stone is porous) but I use a baking steel so that's not an issue (and the steel also adds to the crispier crust).

Rusted 1st time it was washed

I trust fat daddidos, so I didn’t think twice about buying this offset spatula. However the vet first time I washed the spatula in the dishwasher, it rusted. These pictures were taken after cleaning as much off of it as I could. It didn’t even sit in the dishwasher for a prolonged time while wet. Sad… I was hoping to replace all my spatulas soon, but not with this brand anymore.

OK, so I was a dumbbell and did not measure out six inches to see the length. I still like it and I'll use it. One side has serrated teeth. The blade itself does not flex at all. I think those features will come in handy for me. I'm thinking cutting cakes to frost, making a sandwich using one tool. I know myself well enough to know this will probably function as a flat head screwdriver in my kitchen. I wish my car was built like this, it really is the Harley Davidson of spatulas. This will last forever in residential applications.

Excellent! We use it with a cheap wooden peel as a combo.

We ordered Fat Daddio's Pizza Peel and Cake lifter came along with an inexpensive wooden peel when our Kickstarter BakerStone pizza oven attachment for the grill arrived and I'm really glad we ordered both. The wooden peel with a smear of flour is unmatched for sliding your new, uncooked pizza onto the stone. However, Fat Daddio's is the perfect way to help unload the uncooked pizza into the narrow stone chamber. Once your pizza has started to cook a bit, this peel is the best way to slip under your pizza- either to pull it out to spin it when it's partly cooked or to take it out altogether. I know it sounds a bit crazy, but I really cannot imagine making pizza without both a wooden peel adn Big Daddio's used in concert.

Great Product for the Price

The first time you pick it up you'll be surprised by the weight—it's heavier than it looks—but you quickly get used to it and appreciate that it's solidly made. It's the perfect size for frozen pizzas, and the fact that it's dishwasher friendly makes it easy to clean. We've only used wooden peels before, and each one was used as both spatula and cutting board so they got scratches all over and eventually split apart after being left in the sink. We've only used the Fat Daddio's peel to take items from oven to cutting board so it still looks new. If you want a peel that feels solid, slides in easily under a pizza or cake, and is easy to keep clean, this is the one.

Perfect cookie spatula

Perfect for cut out cookies. Maneuvers both the dough and baked off cookies nicely. Very thin but firm.

The only reason I gave this rating was because this item is so much larger than I expected....my fault really because the dimensions were given. That being said, it is well made and I'm use I will use it. I am however, ordering the smaller size as well. This item was delivered only 2 days after I placed the order.
