Reviews are the best! This is a good replacement for "temp minder"
41/2 yrs ago I wanted to replace the sw. But due to the extra connection and my schematic is illegible with the sw part missing , I played it safe, and didn't replace it. Had to get use to turning on for a few mins. then turning off. Because the burner just went on high. So while looking for this sw to replace the other 8' burner sw I noticed the reviews from (majormusiclover) and another,(THANK YOU VERY MUCH) that it worked for them I now have also replaced my "temp minder" to an "infinite". [pic is the sw replaced] the other sw is still working connection was loose. So for those that have the temp minder on an 8" burner RCIB 645-2 Frigidaire flair Custom deluxe/ Imperial this worked for a few of us. * If anyone has the schematic I would greatly appreciate if you could post or send link.*

This is OEM = Frigidaire 5309957099 = Surface burner infinite control switch for 8 inch burner

Replacement for 1960s era Fridgidaire Custom Imperial burner
Our old oven had the heat minder (front right) burner go out. The light remained on even when "off". I bought this switch, opened up the heavy beast, and replaced the old switch with this one. Removed the heat minder hardware (simple) and replaced the element with a simple 8 inch 5 turn burner (not original style) with a harness. The burner didn't sit well with the grease tray but a disk saw fixed that. The new switch has 5 connections, while the old one has 6 (one in the middle). I assumed that middle connection was for the "heat minder" so I taped off that black wire. It works, better than before since now I can control the level of heat. It's a switch, it can either work or not, this one does on a 60 year range.

Element Range Switch Fits and Works Well
The product fits and works well. We were very pleased to get this switch as it allowed us to make our stove fully functional again. The stove is an older model so finding parts for it can be challenging. Luckily we had the part number off of the old switch so we were able to google and find the current part number. The switch was a good fit. The only challenge was to break off the stem of the switch as it was too long. The switch is designed so you can break it off, but it didn't break off evenly. Had to use a file to get it the right length so the select knob would fit on the shaft and the knob would be even with the others.
