Look great , very bright, easy to install

These are a great replacement for any existing Halo can. I had the ugly old style eyeballs that actually looked like eyeballs hanging down from the ceiling also the turning/aiming range on the old style was horrible. Now only downside of these replacements is the price they are a bit expensive but do come with a socket adapter which screws right into the existing cans socket. They look amazing they are so low profile you dont have that big ugly eyeball shape hanging down from the ceiling full 360 turning its little more of a focused light than a traditional eyeball but I like that better as it highlights what you want much better. So awesome cosmetic & overall lighting upgrade than the old eyeballs definetly recommend if you have HALO cans with the wing clips on the inside of the can will take 5mins to replace one.

What I was Looking For

I wanted to replace the old eyeball looking incandescent lights and decided to use these. The first shipment arrived with the boxed clearly opened and used. The boxes were torn. They were trying to send me returned product that was not in good condition. However, the replacements were new, easy to install, and look fantastic. They have adjustable color temperature, which is a nice feature to customize the light for the location. I would buy these again.

EZ install in existing “can” fixture

Very easy to install in existing “can” of the same diameter as the spherical “eyeball” can light type. Once the old “eyeball” lights were removed it took me all of 15 minutes to install each light. You simply install the screw adapter plug into the old incandescent light bulb socket. The biggest obstacle is attaching the ground wire to the can…since all can lights are not the same. And, make certain you adjust the light intensity before inserting the light in the can. This is done by the moving the sliding switch on top of the plastic light housing. And if you decide you don’t like the intensity after installation, you simply pull the fixture partially out of the can and readjust the switch. I did find a very slight difference in light color between the identical lights I installed over our fireplace, but nothing we found unacceptable…the light on the left is slightly warmer than then that on the right when both were on the same setting. These LED fixtures are soooo much nicer than the old spherical incandescent lights, much less weight and much less heat produced. I gave them four stars only because of the slight difference in warmth of color between the two lights which may be due to something as simple as variance in the resistors used in the lights…we can live with it!

Not directional

This is not a focused beam in any way if you want that. It spews light into pretty much a hemisphere (just like what any other led downlight would do) so it does not highlight anything like let's say an old school MR16 "spot" would do. Easy to install and otherwise it is great, but for an adjustable thing I just don't see the purpose of it if it doesn't have a narrow beam.

Horrible company sent used light missing parts and doesn’t work!

This seller should be ashamed sending me a used light in a torn up box missing the spring clips and hardware. Also light doesn’t work. DON’T Buy from this company!
