A comfortable compression sock but one that doesn't do the job perfectly.

I bought these to help with my current leg condition as I figured they'd help keep them from getting irritated by being rubbed on by long pants, thus keeping them from getting itchy and thus help them heal. For the most part they do the job well but they don't go high enough to cover the whole leg, leaving a space just below the knee to get itchy (for some reason the black-colored version is worse about this, as they start shifting down the longer you wear them, leaving more leg-skin area exposed). I have tried extending them to go higher but they tend to slide down a bit, defeating the purpose. Still the socks are comfortable and any itching I suffer in the areas they do cover is just my legs being stubborn. UPDATE: One thing I will say in favor of the black version is they're more durable; I have at least two white socks with holes where my big toes go but the black ones are holding up quite well. So it's a trade-off between length & comfort versus durability.

Size is off. I'm a size 10 and these are too big/long in the foot, should fit 11-12 Made well and may receive a 4 or 5 stars if they where sized right.

Ok compression socks but some flaws

These compression socks fit my feet well. I wear size 11 shoes and I ordered M size. The brand logo is underneath the sock so it is not showing, which I prefer. There is adequate compression on the foot, and some extra paddings around the socks. Now come the critiques. First the length of the socks are not crew type, but they run long, about half calf. I am 6 foot 1 inch for your reference. The M size sock runs as pictures. There is no compression on this part of the sock so it does not help on the calf and I see no point why the socks need to run up this far without any compression on the calf. I wish they would put some compressions on this part. Secondly, I wear size 11 and the M size fits me fine. However the M size says to fit shoe size 6-12, which I don't agree with. These will never fit feet size 6 or 7. They will be too loose. Hanes should create more size ranges, small (6-8), med (9-12), large (13-15). These should be more suitable for wider range of shoe sizes.

Comfortable Socks but Inadequate Compression

I’ve been wanting to move to crew-length compression socks, but have been having trouble finding them. When I saw the Hanes Men's Crew Compression Socks on Amazon, I readily ordered them. Made out of synthetic materials, these socks feel warm on my feet, like a thicker cotton sock would feel. I do sweat a little in the arch area with them when walking, but the socks stayed dry from the material’s wicking and evaporation action. Compression in the ankles and the arch areas is evident, but not to the same degree as medically rated knee-length compression socks. Following the sizing chart, I ordered medium-sized socks for my size 10 feet. But while the socks fit snugly due to their compression characteristics, they were baggy in the toe area. Fortunately, that bagginess didn’t cause the socks to uncomfortably fold or buckle when I put on my shoes. They are comfortable to wear and do help with the swelling but aren’t as effective as dedicated knee-length compression socks.
