Not worth the money due to durability issues

Love the idea but bad design, I normally use this to lift my treestand pack and I can already see where the anchor point is tearing/ripping. The only thing the crank knob is good for is wind the loose tether back up you can not use it to pull up or lower your items as it does not have the strength and will cause and extremely loud knocking sound (like a retractable dog leash). I have to hand pull and lower anything that is on this tether. Hawk you guys have some really cool items for hunt but this one needs a redesign with strength and durability in mind.

almost all good

unit is small, light weight, easy to use. the reel is fast, and mostly (not completely) quiet. one thing that concerns me is the security of those twist ties. having potentially 1000s dollars hanging by twist ties is a nervy for me. they are soft and protected my equipment, but did start to give way a little by the time i got my gear up.

Another smart product from Hawk

This is a great hoist for the treestand - particularly a climber stand. Attach it to the frame and it will reel out as you climb. The cable ties make attachment quick and easy. Once you're set 20 feet up, hoist your weapon (by hand) then reel up the line.

Seems defective

Handle was missing straight out of the package. The lanyard also free spools out with out any weight on it. Money wasted. I suppose I’ll just go back to the ol faithful 550 cord

Good idea terrible execution

After climbing up or down the tree and disconnecting from my bow the handle gear will skip with absolutely any restriction including leaves on the ground.
