Bulky but this is the only respirator that is available
It is the most accepted respirator in the paper and pulp industry, if they require a respirator this one meets the requirement. I wish there was a compact respirator, I mean, these respirators are meant to evacuate an area and not to live in a hazardous situation for a week. I believe the size of the filter is exaggerated but since all the respirators use the same size of filter this one is light and convenient.

OK Product - Considering you'll probably never have to use it.
It's a good product, well suited for it's task, but it certainly could have been designed a bit better. While I'm sure it will perform admirably in the event of an H2S leak, my biggest gripe was the manner in which it was intended to be carried. Most of the escape respirators on the market feature a watertight carry case designed to be clipped onto your belt while this one has a clip integrated into the body of the unit. While this works - it leaves the unit exposed to the elements. Rain, dust, oil, and grease will wreak havoc on it while you're carrying it and moving about the refinery. The mouthpiece itself is protected with a loose-fitting fabric "baggy" that stretches and falls off leaving your mouthpiece open to all kinds of foreign matter. If the time comes for you to use it, it may very well be saturated with water or highly unsanitary. My company's replacement respirators will certainly feature water tight carry cases and mouthpiece caps. Pros. 1. Quality Materials. 2. Passes safety inspection for all major refineries. Cons. 1. Bulkier than normal respirators 2. No carry container 3. No protective mouthpiece cap 4. Belt clip tends to slip easily.

Better price than gas mask, but like gas mask rather than drooling around mouthpiece :/
