Love & Disgust
I love the colors & the weight of this quilt. It looks beautiful on our rustic, pine, large poster bed. However, like others have mentioned, when I unpackaged it, the STRONG odor almost made me return it. It smelled like it had been kept in somebody’s moldy basement. I took it to a laundromat, washed it, & dried it with LOTS of dryer sheets. The smell is almost completely gone, it’s on our bed now, so hopefully it’ll be ok. I read some reviews about it ‘pilling’ when washed, but I had no problem with that at all, it washed & dried up nicely. Overall I’m happy with the quilt, just perplexed that something could be packaged for a customer with an obnoxious smell.

well made,
I bought this bed cover 5 months ago. Have washed it several times. It has held up. We have a Border Collie that sleeps at the foot. Naturally, she digs some before settling-I tell her no, but she takes a second to stop. It has held up quite well. Some stitches- I mean like one spot of 5 stitches- has come undone. Nothing I can't fix and considering the wear and tear we have put it through-It cleans up fabulously. It still looks bright and new! We had it on our bed a good 4 months before switching to our spring cover. And I look forward to our beautiful, holiday cover next winter!

Woolrich Olsen Blue King Quilt
A pretty nice quilt for the price. I was expecting an actual patchwork quilt but it's just a printed quilt. I should have realized it would be printed when I saw the very reasonable price of $100 plus dollars. Real patchwork quilts are typically 3 to 4 times as much. Anyway, for what it is, I really do like the quilt. The multi blue colors are exactly what I was shopping for and they match up nicely to the sheets I have. I also shopped for an oversized quilt as I have an 18 inch mattress and 5 inch foundation. Even with this king quilt's 110 inch width, it barely reaches down to the side rails of my bed. I knew it was going to be close. I read somewhere on the packaging that the quilt was prewashed but I washed it before first use anyway as it had a bit of a "new" smell and washing bedding before first use is always a good idea. The manufacturer recommends using a commercial sized washer and dryer if the fit is a little tight but my front load washer and dryer seemed to work well enough. The large quilt came out looking great with a nice fresh smell and little to no shrinkage. Took awhile to dry though. Next time I'll rig something up so I can hang dry it outside. Living in Arizona, I wanted a fairly lightweight quilt that could be used year round and this fits the bill. It's light enough for summer yet heavy enough for winter and can be layered nicely with a blanket if needed which is perfect. It has a nice feel to it and except for 10% of the fill, it's 100% cotton. Now that I have the quilt in my possession and can actually see and touch it, I feel it's a good quality quilt at a fair price. I hope it proves to be durable and holds up well over time.

A true quilt.
I was nervous! I have hand eczema and I often shop by feel. Anything to scratchy I just won't buy bo matter how cute/fab it looks. I personally like more moody navy and dark green colors so the color scheme I got is fantastic. Also the last one at the time ;) It is incredibly light weight and my hot sleeper of a husband will be thankful. The fabric is soft. Not like uber soft but what you expect from a quilt. I appreciate that it is reversible, however I wish that translated to the shams. If the inside is dark green so should the shams. That's my only complaint. I am super comfortable and I have a fan blowing at me and I can't feel the fan on my feet. So the fabric is thick enough for breathable sleep without getting to cold. I have 2 Bee and willow sets, and this puts those to shame. As far as durability that might be a couple of months from now review but it feels sturdy. Nothing feels like it's going to rip or fall apart. I think the value for the money is completely worth it.

Close in colors to picture but...
Read a lot of the reviews, good and bad and decided to give it a try. I really liked the color combination shown and it may be a bit darker but that part is ok. Like many said, the smell was really strong but I have bought clothing that had some sort of sizing on it that had the same smell. I think the size of this is what makes the smell overwhelming. I washed it in cold water with a heavy load amount of detergent and gave it a double rinse. Could still smell the odor a bit so put it in the dryer on low with many drier sheets and tumbled in on delicate for about an hour, taking it out every 15 minutes to rearrange it. After an hour it was still damp but the smell had lessened a lot. Took it to the basement and hung it over a clothes line and left it for two days to finish drying. There is still a very, very faint smell but it will be ok. Like many others had also said, it pilled a bunch while in the washer and my first thought was this is going to get returned but after all of the tumble drying, many of the pills came off. Still had quite a few on it when fully dried. Put it on the bed and used a lint roller on it and most of them came off. Took a bit but most of them are gone. The loose threads were also everywhere, sticking out of every seam. It took awhile but I clipped them all off, made up the rest of the bed and I now like it very much. I ordered the king size for my queen bed because I didn't want to use a bed ruffle. It is a bit larger than I thought and it just skims the floor on either side of the bed, which I like. It is much heavier than the last quilt I ordered but then again it is a different brand. May alter this review for heaviness and warmth after a bit. There were no cuts or slices in the material at all that some had complained about. We have now slept under it for a few nights and we really like this. I thought it would be too warm or too heavy but it is good. The one thing I like about the weight of this is that it stays put on the bed. Really hard to steal the covers. I would definitely recommend this. UPDATE: It has now been well over a month since I washed this up and put it on the bed. The slight smell after washing has been gone for a long time and I love this quilt. Nice and warm but not too heavy. Would definitely buy another of these.

Bought this set Dec 2019 for a cabin rental, it has been washes once or twice weekly for the past 3 years and it still looks good and never fell apart. S o pleased that I bought a second set.

Pretty Comfort
I'm vey happy with purchasing this coverlet. Its not too thick or heavy. the quality is very good for the price and it is very pretty and suits my rustic cottagey home decor perfectly.

Woolrich is still a quality company
Ordered this quilt for two main reasons... first I was looking for a quilt vs a comforter and wanted something to resemble the old patchwork with an outdoorsy feel but not necessarily on red buffalo plaid or having animals all over it, so this fit the bill perfectly. Secondly... I am a Woolrich brand lover. I have many shirts, blankets, slippers, etc from Woolrich and they have never disappointed me. And again I am very pleased with my purchase. I love this quilt. The colors are amazing, earthy and goes with anything. The quality of the quilt is amazing, great stitching and with a heavy feel to it. The size for the queen bed is large enough to have great drape and plenty to snuggle in. I would recommend this product 110% to any one that is looking for a quality "quilt" bed topper.
