Great quality

So I bought the kiinde brand when I had my daughter and it’s been the only bottle she has used. I like the bags when I was pumping and now it makes it easy when traveling I don’t have to clean a bottle when out on the road I just put a new bag in. We enjoy this brand and all the attachments you can’t change to such as the straw instead of a nipple

Love the brand, not so much the quality

I used this brand for my older children and was in love. Now I’m using them for my youngest, but he keeps biting holes in them. It might just be him, but he was getting the holes before he even had teeth. So I’m thinking the holes just are too easy to crack if the nipple is misshapen. I didn’t have this problem with any of my older children. It has to be assumed that a baby might bite the nipple, especially when they are teething. I’ve never had to buy so many nipples.

If the old design and the new design were combined, it would be better.

For one of the more expensive nipples out there, this is kind of a big disappointment. The original nipple design was much better than the new one, but the old design didn't last long with my son's ability to suck really hard. One nipple would last no longer than a week or two tops, before it would 'blow out' and the opening would be way to wide and the flow so fast my son would choke. That being said, the new design has several drawbacks. I know it was intended to make it easier to squeeze the air out of the bottle with one hand, but it doesn't keep the air out once it is squeezed out (air is immediately drawn back into the pouch by the weight of the liquid in it unless the bottle is kept upside down but if left upside down it leaks milk profusely, even when using the slow flow nipples). The rubber is way too soft on the new nipple design and it makes it way too easy for the milk to come out. The baby needs to work a LITTLE bit to get the milk out, not just hold the nipple in his/ her mouth and let it run in. I DO like that the opening is now a round hole rather than a slit (less likely to tear and will likely last a little longer) so that is an improvement, but the other changes are NOT. I do like that it pops on easily, but I really wish that they would go back to the original design. Keep in mind that my son is an older baby but he can easily take the nipple off his bottle now (was able to once the new nipple design replaced the old and he was about 6 months old) and often gets distracted and lays the bottle aside or waves it around in the air while full of milk which then drips/runs out all over the place. Sometimes he actually removes the whole pouch from the bottle frame and every element of the bottle is disassembled. If the frame were constructed such that it held more securely or had a locking mechanism, that would be an improvement. Customer service is superb for this company and they have tried to accommodate, but when a design flaw is the problem it makes it pretty hard to not be disappointed. I really liked this system originally,(other than the slit opening which was addressed earlier in my review) but I am concerned that with my next baby, the newly designed nipple will be too fast a flow (even the slow flow nipples) for a newborn and will not work out well because it allows air in the bottle and is so fast that it will likely cause baby to choke and /or have colic. :(

Only truly zero leaking Fast Flow nipple!

These "Fast" nipples are awesome - no leaking! We loved the twist system right from the start and used it exclusively (in conjunction with breast feeding) for the first 6 months. when baby got his first tooth he rejected the nipples so we tried the Dr. Browns (whcs fast nipple leaks soon bad - like a "peeing" toy doll) and the Lansinoh bottle that came with my pump (whose fast nipples have very minimal dip - no leaks) and he used those two for a few months - man was it terrible - soon much washing!! at about 9mo we pulled out the Kiinde Twist again and he took it back like a long lost friend, wahoo! So much easier. They really don't leak at all. This system is also amazing when traveling! Baby is now over a year and weened to whole milk. recently Took a fairly long airplane trip and since you can't really take enough liquid milk I used a powdered toddler formula for travel. It was so easy, no need to wash bottle after bottle, just a quick rinse of only a nipple! can you imagine trying to clean a baby bottle in the lavatory on an airplane, ugh!

The BEST bottle system ever!

The Kiinde system is everything. I pump directly from my Lansinoh pump into the pouches, label the pouches, and just throw them in the freezer until I'm ready to use the milk. They thaw so quickly under warm running water, and pop right into the bottle "shell" - no mess, and the only thing you need to wash are the bottle nipples! These have been a lifesaver for me, and they are the only nipples my breastfed baby will take. We tried a million different brands (Avent, Tommy Tippee, Playtex, Lansinoh, Gerber, Maam...) and she hated them all. The only other nipple she would even accept was the Playtex Nurser, but those kept collapsing on her while she was trying to suck. These are such a unique shape and the material is thicker so it doesn't collapse. Plus there's no gas/colic with this bottle system because of the pouch. It's seriously perfect. If you've almost given up on bottles because you've tried everything else, give these a try!

Exactly as advertised but too fast for my 4 month old still.

I think I read every review on every nipple while pregnant trying to decide what to buy and register for. I'm glad I got the kiinde system because I exclusively breastfeed while working full time, and my baby has never had issues switching back and forward between breast and bottle. He first started out with the kiinde nipples when I went back to work at 6 weeks and certainly had a learning curve, but wasn't an issue past the first day. Now at 4 months we are still at the slow flow. This is surprising to me given all the reviews about how slow that nipple is, especially since I have an overactive let down and he now can handle it without issue. But tryung the fast flow he chokes and sputters. So 5 stars as this nipple is exactly what is advertised and the system is amazing, but be aware that this may be too fast for your baby for a few months.
