Very nice looking, seems sturdy

I overlooked towel bar placement when designing my bathroom, and so I ended up with just enough room for one 18" towel bar in there. So I figured I should get a double one, in that case. Then I discovered that none of the local stores around me actually sell double 18" bars. I suppose I could have just bought a 24" bar and cut it down to the right size, but I'm not very handy or precise. Anyway, my budget was pretty tight and I needed it to arrive within a few days, and this was the cheapest double 18" towel bar that amazon had. It's actually quite nice.. very good quality. I'll upload a few pictures. I think I'd actually give this 4.5 stars, if I could. The only reason it isn't 5 is that the bottom bar wiggles a little, so you can hear a noise when you take a towel off the bottom bar. I did not install it myself, so I can't comment on the ease of installation. It seems very solid on the wall, though, and it looks very nice. I can't comment on durability, as it was only just installed today. I'll update my review if it doesn't hold up as well as I hope.

Good product. Well made. Lousy instructions

Nice towel bar. Instructions lack a template so you will need an assistant, a third hand, or a level. Easiest with a level. Drill bit size is not provided for mounting screws so you are left to guess. If you don't want to guess, use 1/4" (15/64" even better if you have available.) Also, you will need a small flat blade (jewelers) screwdriver to attach the brackets. 3/32" blade is correct. I have all those tools handy and it went up in 20 minutes. A lot of people don't. Note to Kingston: Disclose the secret drill bit size, provide a mounting template and replace the crappy slotted screw with socket screw (and provide the wrench like your competitors do at half the price) and you'll have a solid product.

Perfect fit.

Our contractor had bought a different double towel bar however it did not fit in the space. At the last minute my husband looked for one in the right size, got this ordered, and it arrived quickly. It looks and works beautifully. Exactly what we needed.

Fits small space and fairly simple to install

I am only moderately handy and was able to put this up myself. A few tips for future buyers: - Instructions say you need a flat head screwdriver but don’t say what size. It needs to be very small, only slightly larger than what you would use for eyeglasses - these screws are small and you will drop them a time or three. Cover air vents and anywhere else it could conceivably bounce into. You really don’t want to lose them! - instructions indicate mounting plates attached to base. They were separate in my box. - Use a level. Don’t eyeball it. Figure out where you want bottom of base and mar it. Use level to draw pencil line for width of product then trace each base as instructed. - for drilled holes, I used 1/4” bit.

It’s ok

It’s one of the few 18 inch towel racks I found, but it’s of cheap aluminum. Arrived dented. You’ll need a very special tiny flathead screw driver. I used the one I have to tighten my glasses, though it was too small. Once installed, it’s pretty. I’ll be sure to place towels in a way that will cover the dent.

Exactly What We Needed for the Kitchen

This replaced a single-bar rack in our kitchen. It mounted in the same screw holes and doubled our functionality, with only a slightly larger protrusion into the room. It looks and feels like the quality product we had hoped for.
