Had a water emergency, Amazon same day!

Our Kohler shower faucet suddenly started to leak (after 28 years of perfect service) at a rate of a gallon every five minutes on a weekend. I had to keep the main shutoff and there wasn't anyplace that had it in stock. Ordered on Sunday morning and it was delivered Sunday evening! Genuine part and well worth the premium for expedited delivery. Amazon came through in a way I'd never thought with an essential plumbing part.

valve works well, but old one difficult to remove

The new valve is much easier to move than the old one and doesn't leak like the old one. But the Kohler knob was really difficult to remove since it was encrusted in place on the valve post, and there were no instructions. It broke as I was forcing it off, requiring me to epoxy the broken parts back together. It had tiny setscrews inside that were not accessible and made no sense to me since there was also the main screw going into the center of the valve post holding the handle on. Hey Kohler, actual instructions with pictures that show the entire procedure would go a long way! The valve came with an ultra teeny capsule of grease that was not mentioned or described or pictured in the instructions. Presumably that goes on the O-rings, at least that was what made the most sense to me. So far after a few weeks the valve works fine.

Worked Perfectly

Went to other stores and they said Kohler replacement parts were not available to them so I went to Kohler web site and found it. It would have taken several days to get here and the cost was higher. Decided to give this a try thinking it was a non oem part. Come to find out it was and stopped the leak. Recommend ordering the small tube of lube with it. It does come with some but definitely not any extra

Exact fit!

This original valve was in the home built back in 1993. Others I have replaced were a real pain due difficulty in locating. I was unable to locate at 'big box' stores. The valve started leaking, so I went to Amazon to check on replacing it, and discovered this item. Perfect fit and works great!!!

KOHLER GENUINE PART GP30413 VALVE KIT (SHOWER)

I received the Kohler Valve kit (GP30413) and installed it. To my surprise the valve was defective, it leaked constantly thru the shower head with the valve in a closed position. I returned the valve kit to Amazon via Kohl's and received a new replacement Kohler valve the next day. Installed the new valve, works great, no problems. The response from Amazon was Outstanding.

It's tough to install!

I've rebuilt many Delta faucets. Thought I could handle this Kohler. But it doesn't go together easily. At first I broke a new rubber ring. Then I had to develop a way to do this. Holding it in a vise was the start, and then carefully working and rotating the cartridge to allow the rings, one at a time, to move into position was the key. I did it, and the shower is working fine. But, next time, I will buy an entire new cartridge.

No more leaks !!

This was the exact part I needed. I couldn't find this part anywhere. I was afraid I would have to install a whole new shower faucet. The shower faucet was very old, 1992. Other home improvements stores did not have it, either did some reputable parts warehouses. Found it here on Amazon and at a great price. Our faucet was costing us money because it was leaking all the time. Installed this and it stopped. Thank you !!
