Machine wash with caution!

I like the color of these placemats, so I will be keeping them. I'm still not sure about the best method for washing them, though. The tag said to machine wash separately in a delicate cycle with cold water. From looking at the fringe on these, I wondered if dry cleaning might be a better idea, although it would be expensive. But I washed them in the machine as instructed. Yikes. It was a mess. I guess when it said wash "separately," it meant wash each one in a cycle all by itself, because when I washed 12 of them at the same time, they all became tangled up and had to be removed from the machine ALL IN ONE PIECE. I literally had to cut them apart!!! I still don't know how dry cleaning would have worked.

Classy and clean

We have used these placemats for several months now and they have held up nicely. They are cream so of course they get stained up after each meal. I throw them in the washer and then dryer and take them out about 15 mins before the cycle is done and they are perfect. No wrinkles. The stains have all washed out and they continue to look nice. I would recommend these for daily use.

Frays in the washing machine

I kind of wondered if the strings on the outside would start coming loose in the washer and they do. Maybe a sweater bag will help.
