Used these for years

This is a replacement of a unit that I broke. I used the original for years There is a warning about using it in freezing weather, but that rarely happens where I live

Works perfectly with Home Assistant

Using an add-on for Home Assistant this adds local rainfall to be used in automations. Home Assistant can track daily and weekly rainfall.

It didn’t come with a gauge and I can’t find one compatible

Get this gauge plus a digital readout for $4 less.

This rain gauge is handy and reasonably accurate, even though the delicate click tabs holding the top half onto the bottom can break and are impossible to fix. But why buy just the rain gauge for $40 when right here on Amazon the same gauge included with with a remote digital readout sells for $4 less? As to reliability, we've had four gauges in around six years, and one crapped out while tabs broke on another.

Simple and effective to set up and use

Simple and effective. Easy to set up and so far the connectivity with my smartHub has been solid. Just the tool I was looking for.
