Best garbage disposal switch ever!

Had best insinkerator garbage disposal, so quiet, sometime users left it on. Fortunately it has a shut off to keeping motor from burning out. The switch is on only when you hold it on. Works great and solved my problem. Recommend strongly if you have same need. Easy to replace switch on wall. Took me about 5 minutes.

Perfect for low voltage lights

We are remodeling the kitchen in our 1950’s house which has the touch-plate low voltage wall switches. Press once for on, press again for off. The new kitchen wiring is 110v per standard and we needed to include our living room touch-plate switch in the same box as the 110v decorator switches. These look identical to the decorator switches and function as needed for the low voltage system. The rocker spring is quite strong so it pops back quickly. Just what I needed! I may replace all the remaining touch-plate switches with these to update the look of the remaining rooms.

Essential for garbage disposals

I always put safety switches (requiring a person to hold the switch in place) on garbage disposals. Usually, they are ugly and very expensive. This is a stylish and reasonably priced option. Looks much better than a standard toggle switch.

Must-have for every garbage disposal

In my opinion, every garbage disposal should be hooked up to a momentary switch. It's easy to do, and no one ever intentionally leaves the garbage disposal on for more than a few seconds. Have a normal light switch is dumb.

No issues with 3/4 HP disposer

Used this with a 3/4 horsepower Insinkerator garbage disposal to keep my kids from leaving the sink grinder on and killing utensils nonstop. Works great!

Works great with Shelly Dimmer2

I wanted to add two dimmer-controlled light fixtures to my home automation setup using Shelly Dimmer2 modules. The Dimmer2 does not work with a standard dimmer switch, though. I needed to replace the dimmer switches with momentary switches and let the Dimmer2 react to the button presses. A short press turns the light on and off while holding the button in adjusts the dimming level of the bulbs. The Dimmer2 remembers the dim level you've set so there's no need to adjust every time you turn them on. Now I can tell Alexa to turn those lights on and off or set them to a specific brightness level or just use the switch when I want to. That being said, these switches feel much cheaper than the dimmers they replaced. I can see how many people report that they only last a few months. Heck, "button" is even misspelled in the product title. They were also very difficult to fit within the opening in the plate and don't match the colors of any of my other switches. I'll care about that later. The switches are okay by themselves, but their usefulness (to me) lies entirely in the fact that they work perfectly with Shelly dimmers.

Solid Replacement Dead's Man's Switch for Garbage Disposal.

This went in really easy, and has a standard 3 wire hook up [ Hot / Neutral / Ground ]. Not much more to say than it works as intended.
