Great for cutting cast-iron pipe.
It's more economical than buying many fiberglass blades but even if it wasn't it's worth it not to have to worry about a fiberglass blade shattering and flying all over the place!

Great product
I bought one for my grinder and one for my portable Dewalt circular saw. I had trouble getting the right arbor size, but that is on me. I used the grinder to cut about 40+ pieces of metal for the walls in my shop and used it to cut out all the outlets. I have cut rebar with it several times and various other things. Still cuts like new. Must have tool.

A much better cut-off saw
I have a small cut-off saw, and it came with a low-quality abrasive wheel. That wheel kept changing dimension because of its low-quality, and it hampered my work because I kept having to readjust the depth of cut every time. This new wheel seems to be of far better quality, and is thinner, which means I loose less material with every cut. I have not been cutting much with it yet, but so far it does seem to be a very good saw for the money.

Cuts everything
Over all this is my cut everything disk. Anything I need to cut, this will cut. I've cut rock, sandstone, metal, concrete, wood. Everything and it's still going strong. However this disk is metal so it's heavy compared to the lighter disks that you can buy for cheaper perdisk but this doesn't shrink or wear anywhere near as fast. Takes more to spin and it takes more to stop so make sure you have the power you need to spin it.

These things work pretty good
I've found that these things do last a very long time. They make much less dust than when you're cutting with abrasive wheels, although a quality brand of abrasive cutoff wheel does cut a bit faster than these diamond wheels. This cuts probably about as fast as when you're using the cheap chinese brands of cut off wheels.

These work good for cutting metal panels dont last as long on thicker metal not to bad if you compare to others

Remove ring if using on a grinder with 7/8" arbor
Can’t speak to the longevity but seems to cut as fast as standard abrasive wheels. Be sure to remove the brass ring from the center if you are using this on a standard 7/8" arbor grinder otherwise the nut may not tighten correctly on the wheel. Not sure why Lenox even bothered with the diamond shaped center as it would seem the vast majority of these will end up on grinders with a standard arbor. Cutting did seem a bit louder and higher pitched than with an abrasive wheel. Arrow on the wheel would seem to indicate it's directional, not sure why that would be.

Great product
Stellar product. I'm definitely a Lennox fan now and never used their products. I also purchased the diamond saw zall blade which worked great too. This disc cut through cast iron effortlessly. It never lost any cutting efficiency. Great purchase.

MetalMax Diamond Edge Cutoff Wheel
Purchased blade for two reasons, a) because it's 6" diameter, b) because of the advertised 1000 one inch diameter rebar cuts. Cuts slower than an abrasive cutting disc. Works ok on 1/4" or less material. Hard pressed to believe 1000 1" rebar cutoffs in the life of this wheel. Cut a 10 gauge 30" diameter culvert and five 4"x 1/8" H beams and there's not much left in terms of cutting ability. As opposed to standard zip cut wheels, this wheel leaves very little cutting material air borne. Which make a big difference in terms of mess and clean up. Would not but this product again for the simple reason it doesn't meet life expectancy.

Worth the extra money
It’s good not to worry about discs exploding. A little noisier and leaves a rough cut. But it’s quick and reliable
