Works with LED Dimmable light bulbs

I installed 1 of these and it worked so well I bought a second one for an upstairs bathroom. It works fine with the newest dimmable LED bulbs (E.G. Sylvania brand bought at WalMart). Set the level, and it 'remembers' it every time you turn it on. It does require at least 2 bulbs in the circuit, and 3 is better. The problem is that with only one bulb, the light stays on (dim) when it should be off. But with the higher load it works fine. I like how it brings up and down the light levels rather than immediate on and off. The fan timer works as expected and as desired. I set mine for 10 minutes, and a single press gives me 10 minutes of run time. A 'double press' turns the fan on until it is turned off with another press, a nice feature. Of course, the best feature (and the reason for buying this) is that it fits in a one-gang electrical box. I searched long and hard and this is the only combo light-switch/fan-timer that I could find in this form-factor. Installation was extremely easy. Be sure to ground the unit else the dimmer may make an annoying whining noise.

Switch is fine, description is poor

Disappointed I had to come back to Amazon and buy a wall plate because the Lutron MA-L3T251 does not come with the plate. The switch should come with a plate. 1. The switch can be over $60, should have a plate 2. Switch is a custom color, most people will want the plate. 3. A plate is pictured in the switch ad. 4. The listing says (upon checking) wall plate is not included but hidden deep in the horribly written "Product description" Also note the switch behavior is not quite as advertised. "Two taps" to full bright is deceiving. One tap is a slow rise to bright, 2 taps is a faster rise to bright. "Press and Hold for 10-second fade off" seems to do nothing. It fades to off no matter what at the same rate. There is brief mention of this in the "Product description" run on sentence but the fan will cycle down with a minute left. It will then cycle back up until time runs out. Seems unnecessary and can't be good on fan motors.

Great switch, don't use with LED bulbs.

The switch does exactly what I want, but takes some getting used to. I replaced a double switch, so it fit right where the old one was. The LED's are kinda dim, which you don't necessarily want them too bright. For me, the light switch is the top. I had recently switched all my bulbs to LEDs. DON'T USE LEDS WITH THIS SWITCH. We had to go back to incadesant bulbs. At first I wasn't sure the fan worked. I finally left it alone and it was fine. I haven't had mine long enough to possibly experience some of the issues others did.

Pricey, but highly functional

A little pricey, but all the functionality is worth it. We are slowly replacing all the switches in our house with these. The timer switch allows you to choose how long the fan will run so you know it will turn off on its own. The light switch allows you to turn the lights on to full brightness with 2 taps. You can set a special light level and that level will be used when you turn on the switch with 1 tap. Turn off immediately with 1 tap, or press and hold to set an amount of time the light will stay on and then gradually turn off. This is great for bathrooms if you get up in the middle of the night -- you can set it to turn off in 5 or 10 (or however many you wish) seconds so you can see your way back to bed and then it will turn itself off.

Works well, just kind of pricey

I think this is too expensive, but it works well and is in line with other options (of which there are few). I have no opinion of the install because we had an electrician install it for us (and run new 14/3 wire so we could separate the exhaust fan from the bathroom light, which was the purpose of this purchase).

Another Lutron quality product.

I've only given this 4 stars since it doesn't fully fit my needs. I needed a timer switch plus a separate On/Off switch. No one makes that combination. I'm sure a lot of people buy the new Panasonic Bathroom Fan Combo's and need such a combo switch..... I hope Lutron reads this.

Works fine with incandescent

Works well as specified. Would be 5 stars if they offered this product to dim LED. That apparently is not available in this configuration (timer + dimer in single gang). Works fine with incandescent, intermittent flashing with LED at full light.

it still flickers like it is trying to come on

When the light is off, it still flickers like it is trying to come on. It has been double and triple checked but the configuration is correct according to the instructions included. The fan that runs on the timer switch works great.

Just what I needed

Have this switch wired so the top switch is for the light and the timer is for the exhaust fan. Couldn't be happier.

Confused installation instruction

Very confused. In the device,the top brass wire terminal is labeled as line or live. But in the instruction sheet, it describe the bottom black terminal as live.
