Nice, but no coating on the cam

To be clear, this does not include the stackers. I bought this to use with my Yakima stackers, mostly just to give a little extra clearance for my tailgate. They are really convenient. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that I wish the cam buckles had a soft silicon cover to protect your car like most other brands of kayak straps. I already had enough straps, though, so I choose not to use these ones.

Works great

Works great to expand our kayak carrying capacity to three boats. We use it with our Malone stacker rack on our Subaru.

This is an easy alternative to an expensive rack.

We recently purchased 2 kayaks and all the gear to go with them. We needed a good set of roof racks to carry them but didn’t want to spend $400+ right now. We ended up getting 1 Thule folding rack and the Malone foam rack. We are able to put 1 kayak on the Thule and the other on the foam but attached to the same Thule. Save us about $250. It is a good product but you need to be careful putting the boat on it as it could tear it.

Well, maybe I should have interpreted the paragraph differently...There are only two foam blocks. The stuff it came with is good, but was expecting 4 blocks (two pairs).

Great for kayaks and Timmy

These are lifesavers of you have a kayak stacker. They also work great for when you need to transport a body rolled up in a rug. I told Timmy not to eat my sandwich and things got real. With two sets of these I was able to get my kayak and Timmy on the roof of the car. Let's just say the kayaking was awesome and Timmy is now at the bottom of lake superior. Does anyone know a good carpet guy?
