Thin plastic, thick undersuit, helmet runs big.

The undersuit is super thick and well made. Will keep your kiddo warm. The plastic armor pieces are thin plastic, but if they were thicker it would probably be too heavy to wear. The helmet fits my adult woman head so some extra padding may be needed to not wobble around on a child. Overall it's a super cool costume and my son is happy. His only complaint was the helmet was a different color than the costume armor... it's a bit darker.

Great costume!!! Very realistic.

I ordered this at the end of May but just opened it for my son's 8th birthday. He is in love with it. It's a tad big, but really great. So realistic. The problem is that one shoulder attachment (3pieces for the right arm) is missing, and he body suit is full of snags as if someone tried it on before. My return window is closed, but I'm hoping the seller is going to do the right thing by me. For $250, we expect a complete costume. Also, there are no instructions, but it was easy enough to figure out by looking at the pictures on the box. If I get that piece, I'll give it 5 stars. UPDATE! Our replacement costume came in the mail very quickly. It has never been opened. All the pieces are wrapped and accounted for. The body suit isn't covered with snags like the last one. And, as it turns out, this thing does come with instructions! Phenomenal costume! Sizing: My son just turned 8 and is small for his age. This fits a bit big (long), but it's pretty perfect. He'll get a year or two of use out of it. My son is 53 lbs, 49.25" tall. Chest measures 24.5". Arm length about 17.5". Sleeves and legs and crotch is long on him, but it doesn't impede function. I'm pleased with the Medium.

Amazing!

This costume is amazing! Our son absolutely loves it! He's a little short so not all the pieces fit comfortably right now, but I know as he gets taller everything will fit perfectly! It is expensive but we are so happy with this purchase!

Looks great in the photo but impractical for wearing

I got it for my 7 year old son. The helmet looks great and is very durable but there are no adjustments in inside the helmet and you can barely see out the visor so my son didn't wear the best piece. The rest of the plastic velcro attachments were clunky and most made it impractical to walk around the neighborhood or even sit down. Also the velcro positions don't line up if you don't fit it perfectly so shin pieces end up on your ankle. Not worth the money and completely impractical.

Kids Master Chief Costume

I have to start off saying this is....the best costume you could ever buy for you child. It is very well detailed!! The light-up helment truly takes the cake and will draw smiles and stares. I was apprehensive at first because of the cost but after I seen a few reviews I was willing to take a chance. All I can say that this costume will get your child a lot of head turns and praises. Our son wore this costume and won 4 costume contests hands down. We bought it a little big so he will still be in it next year. We had to make a adjustments so he could fit in it and it worked. It came in a well packaged box and had everything included. We also added some lights to the back of the jet pack pods to add some added attention and authenticity. It's a pricey costume but well worth it. The only problem is after the is costume how do you top it next year?????

You would have to go to Hollywood if you wanted a more realistic Master Chief

If your child ever really wanted to have the ultimate Master Chief costume, this would likely be it. It not only has a one piece padded costume that covers the entire body and pulls up over the face, but it also has numerous pieces of armor (which attach by velcro). In addition, the chest armor also has add on rocket ports (which are included) and gloves. To top it off, the costume comes with a high end helmet that could easily pass for being made in a major Hollywood film production studio. The helmet has a see through visor and even lights on the side that the child can activate. I would almost never pay $230 for a child's costume since they will outgrow it so quickly but in this rare case, this costume will really pull off a special look. And if your child wants to have a stand out look during Halloween, this costume will certainly do that. Despite the high cost, this is a five star product.

We have to bribe our son to take it off!

My son would live in this costume if he could. We had to go and hide it in a box in the closet so he would stop trying to wear it every where. He wore it to a Halloween bash and one of the event coordinators asked him to join them on the stage for a costume contest. He got compliments every where we went. His dad plans on getting an adult sized one so they can both be Master Chief at Comicon.

Pretty pricy but kids love it. Velcro is a bit weak and helmet was a bit deformed. Expected a bit more for money but read the other reviews so I had a good idea what to expect.

It's okay.

Looks fancy but is this thing over-priced or what. The plastic are nicely painted but is fragile. My kids (and his friends) loves the look but he walks in it very stiffly. As a cosplay item, it's on the low quality side. As a Halloween costume, it's on the pricey side.

Excelente producto

El costo es considerable por un custom, este específicamante esta construido en plástico rígido, lo que considero que le da el valor es el detalle de las piezas, viene en su caja muy bien ordenado, asimismo para una mejor personalización trae un overol que va debajo del traje que permite una personalización mejor, es un poco incómodo para sentarte o intentar correr, pero es genial!
