Vibrant colors

This swimsuit coverup/dress exceeded my expectations. The colors are vibrant, the material is super soft with a light crepe texture and has a nice flow. The drawstring neckline allows for some adjustment of the fit. I’m 5’9”, 200lbs. The dress comes just above my ankles. This dress would be perfect for outdoor summer parties or outings. It is quite pricey for a summer dress

A little snug

Cute on. Looks more like a sundress than a cover up. I probably should have sized up but I'm not unhappy with the fit

Wrinkles easily.

I hate that this wrinkles so easy and steaming is a must. While it is a pain, the coverup is stunning. I’m giving this 4 stars. It’s going to be a summer staple but a slight inconvenience. Everything about this is brilliant except the wrinkles! Also, I’m a wee bit over 5 feet tall and this doesn’t drag on the floor.

Arrived a little wrinkled, but I was able to iron it out. The sewing isn’t perfect but it’s still a nice cover up.

Cute dress, not see through, fit well, will require an iron. Perfect for a pool party or summer outing.

Nice for the beach or anywhere casual

This is a very nice beach cover up. It's quite see through, so if worn elsewhere, you would need underwear that doesn't show through (unless that's what you're going for). One of the tassels was missing from the dress and the other was so easy to come off. Will have to find a way for it to stay put. Also, there was a yellowish stain on the inside of the waistband' will have to wash it and see if it comes off. Overall, It's a light, flowy dress, perfect for the beach.

I tried three options to test the see-thru. Details are high-quality, love the fringe.

It’s fun to have one whimsical item for a tropical beach vacation - this Sunshine 79 Maxi Dress - White/Hippie Chic - is it. The material is very high quality, linen-gauze-like (Viscose), there’s macrame-like detailing mid-thigh, fringe for the sleeves and bottom hem. It’s a midi, I’m 5’5” 130 lbs, a medium. I tried wearing it three ways: 1) over a colorful swimsuit, 2) over a midnight blue one-piece, and 3) as a standalone dress. The material is slightly see-thru, right on the edge. For the first look the bright colors read right through - it’s a beach cover. For the second try, my midnight blue suit is almost hidden but I still catch enough leg definition I would stay near the pool. Finally, as a standalone it captures a tropical night out perfectly but… I need skin-toned underwear and a half-slip - a belt, wedges, and hat are adds. Styling-wise this dress hits high-waisted, height complements the design (shoes or body height). The shoulders can be pulled up or angle out slightly - I prefer these options over a complete off-the-shoulder. The material is not as see-thru as it appears in the product pics. Add: I did re-enforce the stitching on both tie tassels, they are vulnerable in the getting on/off process - one fell off.
