Worked Great For Us

We have a 7 month old puppy who developed a fear of her crate. We don't know what caused it, but we weren't able to get passed it, so we bought a new one - THIS one. She's decided she LOVES it. We had no problems with sharp places, no problems with set up... nothing. We let her play in it for a day and that night she slept in it. At this point, I don't even have to tell her to go to bed, I just start turning out the lights and she runs into her kennel and waits to be tucked in - a 1000 degree change from the old one! I'm still trying to find a cover for it though, it seems to be a bit longer than exactly 22 inches and the standard covers aren't fitting. Regardless, if I have a puppy who is happy to go to bed at night, I can deal with a crate cover being a bit big. :) **************************************************************************************************************** Just a side note, my educational blurb... this crate, just like any other crate, is not meant to hold a dog who isn't crate trained. These are not cages, they're more like play-pens you put baby's in. They're just a way to confine your dog while you're not able to supervise them. Please don't put your fearful dog in and expect them to be OK... they WILL try to get out, and as other reviewers have said, they can be terribly hurt. Take the time to train your dog properly. And until you do that, hire a sitter, pay for doggy daycare, or stay home. Please don't risk the life or safety of your dog! ***************************************************************************************************************** (There are crates you can use to confine fearful dogs safely, but you'll be paying closer to $700-$1000 for it. Make sure you're getting what you need.)

Easy to assemble, Sturdy, and PERFECT size !

Being horrible at envisioning dimensions, I judge the size by the dog in the advertisement. While In the past this was a bad method, this time it was beyond what I thought ! I have a 65 lb, 1 year old, GROWING by the minute Belgium Malinois ( cousin to the German Sheppard.). Not only was this case perfect for him with enough room to fit a second his size( sitting OR standing), but it has a front and side door that was very intriguing to my 7 year old who set up a puppy slumber party with the dog AND her AND stuffed animals, AND blankets with more than enough room for it all! She kept calling it the “play house” so it doubled as a crate during the night time and cycled between a vet office, post office, school, or whatever else her beautiful imagination could come up with ! Very happy with this purchase ! thank you !

My dog loves this crate!

We had a large crate for our cattle dog/pittie mix and while it worked fine to keep our excitable dog away from our granddaughter as needed, it just took up to much space. We got the combo Medium crate w/the cover and pad and our dog love's this one even more. The price was attractive, the size is 6” smaller in virtually every dimension, the cover is practical and not too offensive, and the pad is more plush than the original set. Our dog is 21” nose to base of tail and 19” tall - this crate gives her plenty of turning space. We didn’t need it for potty training so I can’t speak to that although the bottom tray is a nice feature. The crate folds and opens pretty easily.

Good quality

This is great! However, if you have a dog who is determined and strong they can bend this. One of my pits have baddd separation anxiety and was doing well with it but one day, within about 20-30 mins, he managed to bend the doors and escape and go crazy lol. He's used to his crate now and loves it but he definitely was able to escape. My dog loves to destroy and chew things up, so if you are getting this for a dog like mine, you should probably add zip ties or something. It's not indestructible but it is still very good quality! I got my dog the biggest size and well it is VERY roomy lol. It does take up a lot of space so definitely make sure you measure the space because I bought 2 of these lol. This thing is so big I could probably sleep in it LOL.

Great for dog with separation anxiety

I work from home so I thought I wouldn't really need a crate for the doggo I adopted, but he would completely wreck my window blinds every time I stepped out. He is much more calm in the crate when I leave the house now and even when he's not in the crate, he no longer jumps up onto the couch to paw aside the blinds so he can see out the window when I go out for a short time to do some yardwork. I live near a downtown stadium so if he gets too worked up over fireworks, he'll calm down a lot when I have him go in the crate. The crate was easy to snap into place and seems perfectly sturdy for a 60 lb pit. I put his bedding and a chew toy in the crate and gave him a rawhide treat every day for a few days so he could get used to being inside it while I was home but in another room. He chooses to chill in his crate about as often as his dog bed. Really glad I got it, and at a good price, too.

Love this product but...

I bought one of these crates for my small dog when she was a puppy and it was perfect. I loved how easy it was to set up. I tried to get another one for my larger dog recently, but I ended up with one a little too small because the listing doesn't have the dimensions for the size of dog they fit. My bigger dog is under 50 lbs, but she is over 23" tall and over 30" long. She could put her head on top of the 36" kennel. I don't know off the top of my head how much room a dog should have between how tall they are and how tall their kennel is. The kennel had a useful label that listed what size dog it was best for, but I wish it was also on this listing where I could easily see it. I am returning the 36" and going up to the 42" and hopefully that will help

Perfect after surgery

Our sweet girl had cruciate ligament surgery and needed to be in a crate at night and when no one was home. She’s 40lbs, but had to wear the huge cone for 14 days, so we opted for the 42” crate. Worked out perfectly. She was able to walk in and out of the crate wearing her cone. I did set up a makeshift bed so I could be with her at night, but she had plenty of room and never whined to get out. She was happy and comfy. Me, on the other hand… not so much. :)

Want something "heavy duty"? Here is my $3 advice.

This thing is awesome for such a low price! I paid $103CAD for it. First of all, NO, this is not "heavy duty". For $100 what did you expect. That said! I have a Siberian Husky and they are notorious for destruction and escaping. So, I went to the dollar store and spent $3 on zip ties and I used a total of 60 zip ties on this crate. NOW is the HEAVY DUTY. No freakin' way he is getting out of it. It's been a week and after trying for the first day or two, he's stopped. It's nearly impossible to get out of all those zip ties. Do I care that it won't collapse for travel now? Nope. Not one bit. I never intended it for travel and for that price, I'm willing to sacrifice that. That is my advice for you. Get zip ties and tie the s*** out of it. I couldn't be happier with this purchase.

Death trap

This product is poorly conceived, and insufficient to contain an 80 lbs dog..( yes I do have photos and no hes not a pit bull..... lab shep X) Our dog broke out of it and severely injured itself, and now I can't even afford to have him treated at the vet .It's going to cost thousands of dollars He's sitting right beside me as I write this... in pain, and all I have is mild analgesics to give . I"M DEVASTATED!!!!!!! I'll never forgive the manufacturer, or those who sold it to me. Save yourself potential grief. pass on this product or anything else even resembling it. Update August 23 2019 We have had to put our dog Thunder down because of this product on August 23 2019 at 6:00 PM MT. I hold this company, and the manufacturer responsible for Thunder's death. Please people pass on these products, its not worth your pet's life.

Dog crate great but I used it for something else

This dog crate is perfectly fine and at a great price, very suitable for a tiny dog. It also works great as a feeding station for birds. We have a huge pigeon population and I got tired of having bird seed eaten in under 2 minutes from these flying vacuum machines. I bent some of the wire to make the holes bigger - a bit hard to do as the cage is very sturdy and put bricks around it as the pigeons can still poke their heads through. Works great, wish I had of thought abut it years ago! I have to brush the snow off once a day, and the tray is easy to pull out and dump. I have since stopped putting seed on the inside brick and just put it on the tray (pigeon could stick his head inside and eat) and surrounded the cage with bricks so now the pigeon's head can't reach the bottom of the cage at all. So glad I bought this cage!

Very happy with this crate

After an extensive research, I chose this crate for my 4 month old Maltese puppy. I have used different crates in the past for my other dogs, but this one is by far the best. There's no sharp corners on the wires, so I won't be scratching my fingers. I also like the fact that it has rollers at the bottom so the crate doesn't scratch the floor. (The only drawback of this function is that it's easily moved when my other dog pushes it trying to get to her food! LOL) It doesn't make a loud metal noise when you open/close the doors. Quite light weight (mine is 22inch). Very pleased with this purchase.

Strong, Sturdy & Easy to Assemble

Spent a long time looking for a crate for a new retriever puppy. This crate has not disappointed. The divider helps to make the crate a more cosy size whilst the puppy is young and it is really easy to remove when she grows. It is well made with no sharp pieces or corners and is very easy to put up. It arrives in one piece folded into the base and just has to be folded up and out and clipped together. It was really quick and simple. I also like the option of having 2 doors (one along the short edge and the other song the length), depending on where the crate will be put. Very pleased with the purchase.
