Meh.

I have had many pairs of Ariat square toe boots over the years so I expected more from these. The leather is soft, but also thin and is easily gouged. The worst part is the toe. Why does it come to a point?? The designers at Ariat must have freakishly long and narrow feet with deformed toes. To get the required width I have to order a size up which makes them too long. Plus the pointy toe looks really weird in my opinion. I have bought three pairs of these in different sizes over the last two years trying to find a decent fit. Each pair had sloppy stitching, loose threads and looked they were put together in the dark. These aren't terrible boots, but I have had $50 boots from big box stores that were more comfortable, of at least equal quality (if not better) and lasted longer. Also the pair I ordered from Amazon were listed as steel toe, but they weren't. Not a big deal for me, but be aware if that's what you're looking for.

out of the box and put to work. zero break in time. first day out, and clearing brush, running tractor, walking, climbing. I used them hard and never felt the pain of new shoes, unheard of with work boots. really impressed

Don’t normally wear boots but wanted to try these Ariat work boots. Feels comfortable right out of the box.

Fit well leather is not like my Chippewa's

I bought these because they were not insulated like my Chippewas. I didn't want insulated boots for the summer. I don't like comp or steel toe either. They do keep my feet a little cooler. I have worn these a couple weeks now every day. No complaints on the fit. The insole I think I will change to Dr Scholls "work". The only other thing is the leather seems and looks like seconds quality. I can't complain though since they cost a quarter of my US made Chips. I'm thinking about trying polish on them so see if it makes them look better. I would buy them again.

They are a very good work boot

My husband had purchased this brand from Rural King previously and was very impressed with the boot. The first pair probably lasted him 2.5 - 3 years. I was happy to find them on-line. Rural King didn't have his size. The only confusing description was that they called it a safety toe and I wasn't sure if that was the same thing as a steel toe. It is not. He is thrilled to have a new pair.
