Great longer spout!

This spout is great if you need it to extend a littler further out so that your water ends up in your tub and not on it! I needed this to replace a shorter spout. This was easy to install and did the trick! Looks great and is well made!

Retro Look fit our 1920's tub beautifully

We were searching for a retro look diverter spout for an era specific remodel of a 1920's bathroom. We also had length issues, it had to clear overflow hardware, which it did. Very pleased with the quality.

Poor performance

The spout was just thrown into a box. No instructions. No parts. No packaging. My husband installed it. Water shoots out everywhere. Called in a plumber. Not even she can get it to work right! Did I get a product that someone else returned for damage???

This tub spout was priced lower than the direct replacement for my shower ensemble. Given that Moen designs are somewhat interchangeable I decide to save a few bucks. I was happy to do so because this model had a vastly superior fastening mechanism compared to those that just rely on the allen screw alone. The materials are considerably more robust and the overall length is longer than most - which is nice if your setup is prone to backtracking. Personally, I like the spartan packaging. If you're buying this for a DIY repair, you should already know what you're doing so there's no need for brand fluff. I would advise buyers that the o-ring is lubricated, but may unseat itself on first installation. I applied some PTFE grease to the bare copper beforehand. The ring initially popped off, but slid on easily the second time around.

Very robust feeling unit.

Something that's hard to pick up in the pictures of this spout is that there is a slight hexagonal shape to it at the waist, but where it meets the wall it is round. It's a nice styling touch, but not something I noticed in the stock photo. So just be aware. Materials wise, the unit has quite a heft to it. The spout is all metal, as is the pull for the diverter. The internal mechanisms are a mix of plastic and metal, but seem like they'll do the job. I'll update this review if there are performance problems. There are no instructions included, but it's pretty self-explanatory. Slide it over your 1/2 copper sticking out of the wall, and tighten the set screw with an allen wrench. It may measure 7" overall, but it's only about 5" from the wall to the opening where water comes out. Take that into consideration if you are buying this because it is an extended spout
