A modern attractive faucet with convenient hands free operation.
I purchased the faucet since its a Moen product that comes with a lifetime guarantee. The faucet comes with everything you need to install including batteries. This faucet is completely flyby wire, therefore, it needs power at all times to work. I purchased a low cost "compatible" power adaptor to bypass the batteries. The power adapter was a mistake. After approximately a month of use, the faucet began to turn on uncommanded. I performed the reset procedure to no avail several times. I contacted Moen to have the control box replaced. As a troubleshooting measure, I connected the batteries. With the batteries connected, the Faucet has functioned flawlessly. Apparently the uncommanded operation was caused by the cheap power supply putting out an inconsistent voltage. I checked a couple of reviews where they also claimed uncommanded operation and each one appeared to be connected to a cheap power supply. My suggestion if you are going to connect to a power supply to spend the extra money and buy the Moen unit or just use the batteries. That issue aside the faucet works flawlessly and looks amazing. I will update this review with longevity thoughts as time goes on as of this writing the faucet is 2 months old.

Product is constructed with plastic not worth the price tag, can't use regular functions if batteries are not fully charged

A Better Replacement
This Moen faucet replaced a 10-year old Moen faucet. I installed both myself. This one was easier to install. The instructions were top-notch. I corrected an installation error that I made on the last one (mixed up the hot and cold connections). The Moen hand gesture activation works better than a bathroom professionally installed from a competitive brand. The only surprise (perhaps I didn't read) was that the head of the faucet is no longer metal but plastic. So far it is working well. I hope it lasts as least as long as the previous model.

beautiful and love love love the motion detection feature.
If you don't need to get the Matt black (we did) you can save money; it is an expensive fixture The motion detection feature is worth it though, picture hands covered with raw meat juice, Ha no problem, just wave your hand and the water goes on. No need to touch the handle.. My husband had doubts about the need for the motion detector but now he is hooked In these times of delayed delivery this product came within a. few days; to Hawaii!!!

Amateur technology
I will join the large number of reviewers here and on the rest of the internet who point out that this faucet REQUIRES POWER to work. No batteries = no water. That is stupid. I like the faucet. It installed easy enough. It works fine. But, we have a cat that loves to sit in the kitchen window and watch birds...you know where this is going. The cat turns the water on and off all day long and, worse, the cat turns the water on and then leaves. All of this would be fine is I could disconnect the sensor but...no, the sensor and power hold open the water flow. Turn off the power and the water stops with no way to bypass. OMG bad design not advertised in the product description. My solution is a tiny piece of black tape over the sensor…take that Moen engineers!

Moen Motionsense kitchen faucet, very nice product.
I did a lot of research before making this selection, including reading reviews of similar products and their installation instructions. All our existing fixtures are Kohler, yet paying twice the price for a new faucet was just too hard to justify. Instructions were clear and spot on, everything fit or plugged together just as described. Action of the mechanics are smooth, the motion sensor works very well and I like this faucet a lot. Still waiting to see how long battery power lasts before deciding on the AC power option. The only issue is getting used to cleaning the countertop around the faucet and inadvertently tripping the motion sensor, just something new. Thanks Moen.

Easy to install, looks great, does exactly what I want.
The original kitchen faucet was not well-suited - it protruded too far, causing too much splashing on the floor and the person standing in front of the sink. Plus it was old and tired. The hardest part about this job was the removal of the old faucet - an old Grohe that required a special tool on top and ideally a person on top and underneath to get the job done. Thanks to a YouTube video for showing me. Once it was removed, the new faucet was a snap to install because the design and directions were flawless. It took less time to install than the removal. The Moen works precisely as specified, and I’m loving the motion sensor. I’d buy this again.

Tough to install
It was a bit tougher to install than I thought it would be. Trying to get the control box on behind my sink has been especially difficult.

A little pricey, but you get what you pay for and this was worth the money. So easy to install that even I could do it. The clean outline and shape stay clean because you don't have to touch it....!!!
