Well Made
The price is dumb but the pot is very well made. I use this pot a lot, and not just to make stock. I like how high the sides are when I make spaghetti sauce, because the sauce splatters while simmering. This is an overall great piece of cookware that I'm happy I have.

Just bummed about the lid
Just like all All-Clad it’s well built, feels heavy and heats consistently. The only bummer is that the lid doesn’t match the lids for the d5 stainless line. So my pot lid rack has one odd man out.

Quality product, even though it's made in China
Solid, quality construction. Despite being made in China, you can tell that this will last a lifetime, and be passed down for generations to come. Handles are solidly attached. Lids fit snugly like a glove. Nothing flimsy about these. If you take the time to learn how to properly use stainless steel, you'll not have any problems with food sticking, either. Spend the money now, one time, and avoid the ever increasing cost of buying lesser, inferior products again and again every few years. These are an investment in your future gastro-happiness.

Love the Pot Function and Accessories but Hate Discoloration on the Lid!
I bought this set to replace an almost identical aluminum set. We replaced our dead range and upgraded to an induction range. Unfortunately, the induction cook top doesn't work with aluminum pans. It only recognizes copper or stainless steel. This pot works great on the new range--steamed vegetables in the small top and cooked corn on the cob in the water underneath and both were perfect. I have used it numerous times with equal success. It is not a heavy/sturdy as my Kirkland (Costco brand) stainless steel cookware, which is a surprise for the All-Clad name. However, I am disappointed to find the terrible discoloration on the inside of the lid! I thought stainless steel meant it wouldn't discolor—not so! The lid has a wonderful, mirror-like shine on the handle side of the lid, but the back of it looks like it is very old. It is impossible to clean back to its original shiny color! Maybe this is a minor issue since it doesn't affect the pot functionality, but it is disappointing that the mirror finish is not duplicated on both sides of the lid. In my honest review, I needed to include this information. Other than the lid, I love this pot and how well it cooks my vegetables. For the price and the All-Clad name, I expected a better performing finish on the lid. I may write to the company to ask about this discoloration and will update this review if there is anything to report.

Great pot w/ some possible drawbacks
Overall this is a great pot and lives up to All-Clad's high quality. I have a number of All-Clad products (too many if you ask my wife) and many of them, while over 20 years old, look no more than 20 days old (and not for lack of use!) My two complains are that this pot seems just a bit thinner than other, older All-Clad products I have (Maybe they changed the manufacturing process) but more importantly, the strainer could go much closer to the bottom of the pot. I purchased this primarily for pasta and thought the strainer would make things easier, but you have to add a few inches of water to the pot before it even hits the strainer, so while I could make pasta with 1/3 pot of water without the insert, you have to fill it 2/3 to 3/4 of the way with the strainer, adding a decent amount of time to heat the water. You can't go wrong with this pot though and the main reason I gave it four stars is so people would read this review! ;-) I would not hesitate to recommend or purchase again.
