Only needs so many filters

I decided that my water was filtered enough---three times in two different locations---so it is redundant to filter again---the flavor wasn't improved, and quality of water didn't change, therefore value for the money is a loss. Nothing against the product which is great---just not needed in my situation.

Filter works great, but don't use REPLACEMENT disks

I bought several of these as several people at work have a Mr Coffee brewer that these fit. We were happy to get them and they were making great coffee. I also saw that you can get replacement filters that insert into the frames. I located several stores that had packs of two replacement filters. However, when I tried the REPLACEMENT filters (Product #WFF) I had a huge problem with them. The original filter that you see here, the #WF10 model is both a frame and filter. The filter disc has a whitish color to it and it works great. Then I bought some of the WFF replacement filters to save a bit of money. They have a deeper grayish color. And surprise the hot water from the coffee maker does NOT make it through the filter fast enough to brew a proper cup of coffee. For several days I couldn't figure out why the coffee was so weak. I kept adding more coffee and still... weak coffee... Finally it dawned on me, I had been using one of the WFF replacement filters. I switched it out right away for another WF-10 filter and voila, great coffee. I even called Mr. Coffee at 1-800 number and they apologized for my experience and shipped me out two WF10s (filter and frame). So if you try the WFF replacement filter disks and they brew POOR coffee, stick to the WF10 model with the whitish filter disc. I think that Sunbeam or whomever owns Mr. Coffee switched to some new filter material in the WFF replacement discs and it does a horrible job as it does not let the hot water through fast enough to brew the coffee correctly. Additonal info: Sunbeam/Mr Coffee support just told me they have a subscribe program, you get 3 WF-10's every 3 months, net cost $10, and they don't charge you for shipping. Decent deal if you're looking for using these on a regular basis.

Works great so far!

What I received was not what I thought I ordered but so far it is fine. The picture of the product is a two piece, top and bottom, holder for the filter which goes in between. What I got was the top only with little protrusions that you slide the filter on and they hold it in place. May work better, we’ll see.

I dont know why others have made remarks about the filter sagging, or the filter not fitting etc etc.... I taste and smell the difference in my coffee and tea. I can really smell the earl grey and coffee that i brew in my coffee pot and it tastes great! The picture is of the top o fthe device so it isnt a sandwhich, i got the actual mr coffee filter holder when it arrived and it fits perfectly, no sagging, and works like a charm. For those saying the filter sags you might want to look at the brand of filter you are using, some are better woven than others. All in all this is a great holder for most filters designed to fit said holder.

Takes the Chlorine Taste Out of My Tap Water

I usually make my coffee with distilled water, but with this filter in place, I find that I can use my tap water and I still get a great tasting cup of coffee. My tap water is highly chlorinated. When you fill a glass with my tap water, it smells like you are at a public swimming pool. It is so bad that I actually bought a distiller and we distill all of our drinking water. I can only distill so much at a time, so finding a way to use my tap water and still have a great tasting beverage is a big deal. I own an inexpensive Mr. Coffee coffee maker. This fit nicely on top of the basket and was easy to put in place. I am really happy that I purchased it.

How many? It’s a bad written description

I thought I was buying 4 of these filters with a basket. Number of pieces states 5, size states 1 count. I ONLY GOT 1 filter with a filter holder. I will return it.

Es un engaño!

El filtro está bien pero la descripción dice que vienen 5 y solo viene 1. Es un engaño y no se vale que se les permita hacer esto! No se los recomiendo

Lamentablemente solo me funcionó el filtro .. lo demás lo tuve que tirar porque no entró en mi cafetera Oster

Bueno, pero no lo suficiente

Lo compramos por que con agua de filtro el café salía con un fuerte sabor a cloro. Con el filtro bajó el sabor pero aún era molesto; al grado de mejor ya no beberlo. No remueve el 90 y tantos % del sabor a cloro, al menos no con el agua de filtro... y es caro
