I Wish....
I wish these were more reasonably priced. $35 is crazy. The original Neato brush lasted a whole 20 runs through my house. I'd change brush makers if I could find one that has the 3 brush/3 swiper design. All the ones on Amazon are 2x2. Just my luck.

OEM, works good
Got this roller to replace the original one that came with my robot vacuum. I was surprised how long the original lasted which was about 3 years. I finally had to replace it after the robot ran over some dog poop, otherwise I would have kept using the original. I researched other branded rollers and read reviews and decided to just get the original roller since it lasted me so long even though the price was much more expensive than the non-OEM ones. The roller does a fairly good job picking up hair and debris. but it tends to get hair wound around the rollers quite often and you need to cut the hair at least a few times a month. Neato offers another roller that made specific for pet hair and I assume human hairs too. Amazon doesn't sell this item yet but the neato website has it for sale and the SKU # is 945-0440. I hope that Amazon will start carrying this item soon but it's a new item and it might take time to get distributed to other selling channels.

Using generic brands will strip the drive wheel for the brush - OEM only
I made the mistake of buying some generic replacement brushes and they seemed fine for about six months but then noticed the brush wasn't spinning any longer. Thought the brush was jammed or the bearings failed but no, the drive arm of the motor that spins the brush has a hex shaped head that fits into the end of the brush. Well, it didn't fit tight on these generic brushes and allow for enough slack to eventually ruin the drive end of the brush motor. Fortunately, there are several people who have reproduced the drive wheel and so for thirty bucks was able to replace the part. That's when I noticed it didn't seat as deeply into the brush as the OEM and did not fit as tight. So, went back to OEM and everything is still tight and not wearing.

rotating end-cap ruins a fine design
The brush is indestructible, EXCEPT for the rotating end-cap. Internally, it is plastic rotating against plastic. The rotational speed is very high so if a small amount of dirt gets inside (and the mechanism isn't sealed very well), it scores and heats up the plastic causing the two rotating parts to seize up and stop the vacuum. I've tried taking the end-cap apart, sanding down the two surfaces and greasing them but the result fails again after a few cleanings. They should replace this piece with a better design or make it available apart from the rest of the roller. As it is now, it just looks like planned obsolescence.

Works very well
I've been using the old all plastic brush in my Neato cleaner on my hard floors for about 5 years but it appears that they have been discontinued and replaced with the Spiral Combo Brush. I bought one to try it out and I am very happy with the results. I find that both the old style brush and this new model work equally effectively for my floors in terms of hairs and dust but this new brush has the added benefit of being slightly quieter. I highly recommend this combo brush for the Neato robot cleaner (which has given me over 5 years of reliable service and saved me uncalculatable hours of cleaning by hand).

This brush is LOUD.
I’ve had my D4 running for about three years now. I went to order a new spiral brush and the model of purchased in the past was sold out, but there was this brush that claims to be a spiral brush in what looks like new packaging, so I figured Neato is just redoing their packaging and purchased this one. It fits. It runs. It sounds like the whole vacuum is rattling apart. I don’t know if this one specific brush is faulty or if it’s more straight design (it’s NOT a spiral) is at fault, but this is near unusable. Found the spiral back in stock and am getting it immediately.

Very expensive for a brush!
Does the job and is of decent quality. I cant really rave about it as its just a vacuum brush. Big issue i have is the price! Nearly £40 at the time of ordering this means that if you use genuine parts and change filters and brush at neatos recommended intervals the vacuum will cost £160 per year to run in consumables alone. Neato needs to put more effort into getting the vacuum to run more reliably rather than taking customers for a ride in this way!

brush fits well but hair tends to tangle and needs detangling every other day. will only last about 6mths before needing replacement as company has built in obselessance which is not impressive

Usate solo prodotti originali!
Ho un robot senza il quale non posso più vivere. È fantastico! Mi ha dato i po di problemi prima dell’estate è il servizio cliente è stato veramente di aiuto. Alla fine ho scoperto che i problemi erano dovuto al fatto che avevo preso dei pezzi di ricambio compatibili. Non lo fate! Comprate solo originali altrimenti rischiate di rompere il robot. Appena cambiato con pezzi originali il robot è ripreso a funzionare perfettamente

L'ho sempre sostenuto i ricambi originali..... Avevo preso un altra spazzola non originale e .. rumori, poca pulizia, materiali... Questa... sicuramente durerà come quella in dotazione, ne sono sicuro

Regelmäßiger Ersatz ist nötig
Der D8 läuft täglich bei mir und bedarf daher, wie angegeben, regelmäßig eine neue Spiralbürste. Teil passt, 1:1 Ersatz. Reinigungsleistung nimmt nach Bürstenwechsel spürbar zu. Preis-Leistung ist ok.
