Save your back!

I have had serious back issues being in and around construction for going on 30 years. I got these bags off a recommendation from a co.worker who has been going through the same back pain and issues as well. For about the last 5 years I have not been able to wear tool bags for more than 2 hours max. I highly recommend this beltless system as all the weight is carried mid-torso once adjusted and tightened properly. I can now wear my bags all day with out worry that I will throw my back out.

Good product but could use improvement

Pretty good, but several things annoy me. The material it's made out of is very tough, but the shoulder area is unforgiving. I wish Occidental would have added some type of padding, or extra support in this area. My shoulder/collar bone area doesn't have much extra meat and this vest rubs me the wrong way, especially if I'm only wearing a t-shirt. I'm looking to find someone who can modify it to add padding, or leather, or something to this area to decrease the friction and increase comfort. The other thing that bothered me for a long time was whenever I bend over, the chisel I keep in the chisel holder goes flying out. Not cool if you're doing finish work, and just plain annoying if you're doing framing or something. I resolved that issue by keeping my Titan stainless steel prybar (another awesome product) slid in behind the plastic chisel holder. Other than those minor issues it's an awesome product. Tons of storage and you can pretty much set it up however you want. Very intuitive once you develop tool placement/routine. It can definitely increase your productivity and efficiency.

The bags are comfortable to work in but are designed for upright work only. If you bend over all the stuff in the bags will fall out.

Love it but quite pricy

I Absolutely love this product! Only downside for me, was the prices are extremely high and think that it could be sold for at least $50 to $60 less! Anyways, once you buy this you are good for many years so you won't have to worry too much about changing it soon.

Great rig, but a bit pricey.

Very comfortable as the weight distribution is almost flawless (after a few adjustments to strap length). A concern of mine would be using this rig outdoors on hot days as the material isn't 100% breathable. This product is a little expensive, and would definitely be 5 stars if $50+ cheaper.
