Owner makes the best fish hooks in the World in Japan.

If you are serious about your fishing, try to find an Owner hook that fits your needs. The Owner hooks have a very sharp point that is also very hard. I use the Owner Aki for big saltwater gamefish.

Owner makes fantastic hooks and this is no exception

I primarily use these hooks to tie tarpon flies. Owner makes fantastic hooks and this is no exception. The flyliner is a slightly shorter shank than the other Owner Aki hooks I use for my other tarpon flies however these also work great. This is a forged hook so it's extremely strong and the cutting point holds very well. If it dulls you can always touch it up with a file just bc careful not to go overboard as it can beak the hook point. There's a lot of debate over using cutting points and if it's more effective but I'll leave that up to each of you to decide for your own needs. I personally prefer it. As with any forged hook, rinse it in freshwater immediately after you cut it off your hook and let it fully dry before loading it back in your fly box. I am able to use these hooks for multiple flies after the material gets shredded off.
