Learning Resources Finn the Fine Motor Fish - 12 Pieces, Ages 18+ months Fine Motor and Senso Any baby is going to find this toy interesting. In my opinion you're going to have to decide if this toy is right for you and your child. I initially volunteered to review this product, but unlike electronic components with a UL rating, this toy didn't seem to have any safety rating (I don't recall seeing one). This is an Amazon Vine product review.

Great for my 12 month old with dexterity

This is a perfect growing toy for my 12 month old. The suggested age is 18 months +, but I think that depends on the kid. She's entered that stage of wanting to put things in things (she LOVES her little people toys because she loves putting them on their pegs and pulling them back off). So, with this toy, she hasn't mastered the grabbing the toy with the pincer grasp, but is able to grab them at the base (like a door knob). She has a love/hate relationship with getting the pegs in the holes. She loves it when she gets it right and claps, but does get frustrated when she can't quite get things lined up to go in. What she REALLY loves is taking the top off and putting the pegs inside the fish....dumping them out and doing it all over again. I've also been using the pegs to teach her colors, but that's a work in progress. I like that it can grow with us into a color game once she's old enough for that skill.

Very colourful

This is an ideal size for small hands very sturdy. It’s quite a basic toy but my small granddaughter likes playing with it should help her to learn colours as she gets older

High-quality, well-conceived educational toy

I have nothing but great things to say about this cute toy. It’s very well made, is colorful and appealing, and it supports a whole range of developmental skills. The main component, the fish, is about the size of a melon, while the 12 removable “scales” (2 x 6 different colors) are the perfect size for small hands to grasp and manipulate. The idea is to pull off the scales, which are all interchangeable so can fit into any of the holes, and then plug them back in again. This is a brilliant educational toy! It supports color recognition, patience and concentration and is fantastic for promoting the development of fine motor skills. My 20 month-old niece loves choosing which color scale to place where and claps with delight once she’s fitted them all in. It is quite challenging for little ones, holding the piece properly and lining up the plug with the hole, but I think the recommended age range of 18+ months is spot on. Importantly, all the components are very easy to clean. And I love that the top comes off the fish so that you can safely store all the smaller parts away All in all, a terrific product and one I have no hesitation in recommending wholeheartedly. Fun whilst developing fine motor skills

I cleaned this toy before letting my baby plays with it, and I can say its very easy to clean. I love this toy because it is fun and educational at the same time. My 15 months old baby enjoys playing with this. The toy is colourful, and the pieces are very well made and the size of these pieces does not pose any choking hazard. He is enjoying removing the pieces and putting them back again. I would recommend this toy. Perfect for little hands.

Great educational toy

My 14 month old likes this educational toy. She likes to remove the little pieces and try to put them back in. This toy helps with learning colours and with fine motor skills. It's a helpful toy for improving concentration too. It can be a bit difficult to remove the little pieces and sometimes she has to pull quite hard which is the only minus.
