Do you buy 1 lb or two of brown sugar

I realized after I bought this I use 2 lbs of brown sugar not 1. However the size is great for sugar cubes or macaroni. Despite reviews to the contrary I’ve never had a problem with the seal on these containers. When I wash them I always disassemble the lids and carefully reassemble when dry. I think that maybe the issue people have, water trapped in the lid. They work great for me and are my number 1 choice for storage containers.

Air tight pop seal containers

I bought this and also got the little ceramic insert to keep my brown sugar from becoming hard. Can’t tell you how happy I am that I got this! It’s a game changer for keeping your sugar from becoming hard! Highly recommend this and will buy again if needed.

I bought this to hold crackers after my Tupperware one cracked and died (pretty sure it was only about 40 years old - LOL). I know Tupperware would have replaced it if I fussed and returned it to them, but I have other OXO Good Grips containers that I love and I thought this would be a better replacement.

Using it to hold sugar. It does not quite hold a 5# bag because the lid needs space to close properly.

Great product, high quality and very effective

We use these for bread, bagels, cereal…everything! They stay tight and so a great job. Very easy to clean as well. Highly recommend.

Best canisters ever

Best airtight containers ever! I’ve tried several other canisters that look similar, and they have all cracked when putting on the tops. The OXO canisters I bought 15 years ago are still intact. I Use my largest OXO canisters for my dogs’ food & I have just about every other size for flours, sugars, pasta, rice, oats & nuts — oh, & coffee & teas. Also, I LOVE the scoops & brown sugar disk & other accessories that securely clamp onto the newest lids!! I can’t recommend this highly enough. Well worth the cost!

Love these

I think they are good quality as long as you take care of it. Its easy to use. I would like to get more. The cost is a bit much..i know i could find cheaper somewhere else. But i do love them. I can also put labels on the front so i know which baking flour to use. I also have one for all my oatmeal.

Rating 3.5 stars. Not as sturdy/airtight as Oxo POP first version boxes but quite good. Very pricey.

This 2.6 litre square container is part of the second version of Oxo's POP container range. The first version was downgraded to this second version as regards build quality, sturdiness and they're not as airtight. The second version has thinner lids. They're not even as airtight as Lock & Lock boxes (buy Lock & Lock here on Amazon). I own lots of Oxo POPs, both versions, and lots of Lock & Locks. I store dry foodstuffs that won't go in the fridge in the first version of Oxo POP boxes or in Lock & Lock boxes. I use the second version of Oxo POP boxes (such as this 2.6 litre square box) for short-term food storage only AND if it's going to be kept in the fridge. Considering its limitations, this box is very expensive at 15quid. Splash out if buying as part of a set (as I do) but this one I bought specifically to use with PrepDeck, because PrepDeck doesn't come with an XL box and won't ship XL boxes outside the USA. This Oxo box neatly spans the width of two standard PrepDeck boxes, and is taller, and the style of the base (clear, acrylic) matches the PrepDeck containers. (Buy PrepDeck from Amazon US.) All Oxo POPs containers are modular. They stack. Ones of the same size/capacity won't nest, meaning bulky storage when not in use. The bases are dishwasherable (upper basket). I handwash the lids. This box comes with an instruction leaflet inside it which shows how to disassemble the lid for washing, and how to re-assemble it.

A very convenient and clean way to store food, but they're expensive

I bought a pair of these OXO containers for our kitchen to store tea bags and sugar in. The bins are the perfect size to keep a decent supply of both close at hand, while we keep the larger box of tea and bag of sugar in the pantry. We had an older version that had a more robust sealing mechanism with a more positive latching push button on the top, but it was also harder to clean. These new containers work plenty well and hopefully the simpler sealing mechanism is more durable as a trade off for it's weaker seal. These OXO containers can be a slippery slope though for people that like storage. Once you've experienced how clean and tidy they are, you'll want to get more to store all your pasta/cereal/chips/coffee etc, but you'll quickly spends hundreds of dollars. We're satisfied just having the two for our sugar and tea, which get used daily.

I love these oxo storage tubs they are completely airtight and easy to clean. They look nice and are sturdy.
