Works great! Excellent Customer Service!!
We just got this and put it together this morning. It was packed really well, so we were surprised to see two large dents in the main cover, as well as small scratches/marks on the top or table portion. We don’t know if someone ordered this before, it got damaged, and they returned it OR … It got damaged in shipping, despite the packaging and no visible box damage. Regardless … We have been working on our yard for two years and weren’t in the mood to return. My husband got his rubber mallet and beat the dents out as best he could. It’s noticeable, but we turned it on, and it works great, so it is what it is. UPDATE to 5 STARS: Sorry for the delay in writing this updated review. Two weeks after my review posted, East Oak reached out about our experience. Without hesitation, they offered to send us a new base cover. We've been very busy, so we haven't installed it yet, but it arrived in perfect condition. We did not contact East Oak, so they had no obligation to reach out to us. Clearly, they care about the quality of their products and how their customers receive and perceive them. I truly believe the damage was done in shipping and had nothing to do with the company, but they didn't hesitate to send us a replacement anyway. They are awesome!!

Great Customer Service
I bought this heater in January and didn’t unpack and assemble until March. The pilot light would light but turning it up from there and the burner would just sputter. One time I got a normal flame but it wouldn’t get very warm and never made the screen glow. I contacted customer service at East Oak and they requested a short video and then a couple photos of specific parts. Once they had those, they immediately sent a new replacement heater. The new one works great!

Decent Heat and Looks Nice but Assembly presented issues.
Overall, pleased with the first purchase and therefore purchased a 2nd one w/caveats. Second Purchase…Assembly: would have been rather easy to assemble if the parts provided were quality controlled…Upper Post and Lower Post did not connect properly as the lower post is warped…wrote to support and standing by for replacements or recommendations. Protective Film: Not sure why they choose to use this film; it’s not easy to remove and personally, I don’t think it’s needed…would reduce the assembly time tremendously without it. Heat output is ample if cold and not very windy. Rather easy and straight forward to light and use once set up.

Looks Great, Heat-Meh... Oh Yeah, I Had to Perform Surgery to Put it Together
First off, it looks great, but whoever wrote the directions didn't actually put one together. I looked at the directions and automatically switched to step 2 first, which is put the main housing onto the base and bottom weight. That way I had a stable base to work with. The first step had you putting the burner assembly on top of the main body, but it would have been awkward to work with when I got to step 2. Got to the third step where you put the emitter (mesh thing around the burner), TOTAL FAIL. The top of the emitter was SUPPOSED to have three holes where you put the spacers between the emitter and the dome. Guess what, no holes, WTF! How the heck did that get by their "quality control". So, there I was in my garage trying to center the emitter onto the dome and mark the holes. Punching, drilling, three different bits later and finally got three somewhat properly placed holes in the top of the emitter. The rest was pretty easy. So, most of the reviews said it took 45 minutes to two hours to put together. No wonder. It's a massive failure if you have to take a drill to a product to get it assembled. Once together, it worked as expected, but don't believe that it'll throw off tons of heat. Also pay careful attention to the getting it lit and leaving it on the low setting for a few minutes. If you try to light it too quick, you'll hear a whooshing noise, because the burners didn't light completely. It's like lighting your stove and the flame takes its time getting to all the orifices, but there's always that one stubborn one. I found that if there's a slight breeze, just slowly rotate the heater till all the orifices get lit. Would I recommend this? Sure, but have expectations. FOLLOW-UP: East Oak contacted me about my review and my experiences. After a few traded emails, this company very generously compensated me for my exhaustive whining I did in my review. They sought me out after a purchase to try and make it right. This is something that they did not have to do, so kudos to East Oak for their customer service efforts and thanks to Colin for reaching out to me. Colin also told me they contacted their manufacturing team to correct the missing holes in the emitter. I'll be raising my star level to 4 based on customer service.

Exemplary Customer Service
I purchased 6 outdoor heaters. 2 of the pyramids and 4 of the 50,000 BTUs. We live by the ocean and need to frequently replace things due to the salt air rusty items.. 1st of all, the 50,000 BTUs put out an incredibly great amount of heat. They work as well as heaters that we have paid 3 to 4 Xs the amount. 2nd- I was extremely happy with how good they looked. Super easy to assemble. The downside is the protective cover they use- took as long to remove as the entire thing took to assemble. 3rd, customer service was exemplary. One of the heaters had some minor issues but they sent replacement parts within 2 days of my inquiry. super fast response- no hassle. VERY HAPPY WiTH MY PURCHASE. Would definitely recommend and will purchase more when needed.

It heats well, easy to start, Optional Cover fits and protects well
Well packed. Assembled easily ...maybe 30-45 minutes. Adequate instructions. Hardware well organized with spares for screws/huts. Works well, starts easily and has good range of heating adjustment. I bought the optional cover and it helps keep the heater clean and dry. You will need to supply a standard 5 Gal LPG tank.

Heats very well.
The day we got this, we were able to put it together with some ease and were able to use it since we actually had a cold day. We have it in an enclosed screened patio against a wall. We had a very gusty day and it blew over. Since it’s aluminum, it dented the top edge. We now have it weighted down more. We’d still recommend it just make sure you account for it being top heavy (we don’t keep the tank side it when not in use).
